Flanders and the back from Toledo are MUCH better than anyone MSU has. Also, the scheme SHSU runs is a very poor matchup against EWU. MSU's run game much more similar to UM's, which EWU limited fairly effectively. In conference play we only allow 9 rush yards more per game than the leader, SUU. If MSU struggles to run the ball against us, they will lose, just like the Griz. EWU's offense is too explosive and fast striking to keep up with while struggling to run the ball.

I don't think MSU is nearly the rushing team either of those two teams are.

I'm not talking in a general sense, and it doesn't matter what they play off of.

If McGhee doesn't toss at least three TDs, Eagles by 14+. I don't think MSU's pass defense is good enough to stop Adams and Cupp, so they need to be able to score quickly.

That was my point. MSU is more reliant on the run than UM is, too. McGhee has never been the type of QB that's gonna beat you by dropping back & throwing most every down run-&-shoot style.

edit - never mind. The Sports Network's time stamp on this game was way off. They think it's 54-29 with 6 minutes left in the 3Q.

I knew our defense wouldn't be great, but I honestly though MSU's defense would be a little better. We never punted or kicked a FG in that game. TD on every possession.

Adams was 16/18 passing for 300 yards and 4 TD's, plus 76 yards rushing and 1 TD on the ground. Didn't really play in the 4th.

Both Montana teams are. EWU is head and shoulders above both teams. The Griz today were beat in every part of the game today, except for the one thing that matters the score. Sad loss for USD. The Cats could stop EWU. If the Griz couldn't stop the running game of USD, the Cats running game will embarrass them.

A Montana team wii probably get the chance to play NDSU in the second round and the other will probably play EWU in the second round. Not good for either team.
