Nope. Been busy this week. And will be going to New Hampshire & Maine with the girlfriend for a 4 day weekend. Won’t be back till Tues evening, so this Sat through until Wed, maybe even Thur, regardless if JMU wins or loses, I probably won’t have time to post. So you or someone else will have to start the prediction thread next week for week 12 also....

The following week (in 2 weeks) I will be back to my regularly scheduled posting….that is, unless the unthinkable happened, JMU lost @ UNH and at home to SBU on senior day, thereby being eliminated from playoff contention before even playing @ TU….

I bet UD will be in a mood to score against W&M, and in a mood to stop W&M from scoring. And I bet W&M will be in a mood to score against UD, and in a mood to stop UD from scoring.

I bet that every team that plays this weekend will be in a mood to score, and in a mood to stop the other team from scoring....

I can’t see Maine, UD, or W&M NOT getting in with 8 wins, because in any scenario where Maine, UD, and W&M have 8 wins, they would be in the top 4 CAA teams, and the CAA will get 4 in I think. But there are scenarios where JMU and TU wouldn’t get in as a 5th CAA team at 8-4:

For JMU at 8-4:
11-1/10-2 Maine
10-2/9-3 TU
10-2 to 8-4 UD
8-4 W&M (beats UD or TU)
8-4 JMU (beats UNH, SBU, loses TU)
JMU would have not played Maine and lost to the other 3. JMU would be the 5th CAA team, and if there wasn’t room for 5, JMU would be the odd man out.

For TU at 8-4:
11-1/10-2 Maine
10-2 to 8-4 UD (beat TU)
9-3/8-4 W&M (beats TU)
9-3/8-4 JMU (beats TU)
8-4 TU
TU would not have played Maine and lost to UD, W&M, and JMU. TU would be the 5th CAA team, in addition to losing their last 3 games, and if there wasn’t room for 5, TU would be the odd man out. For the record I consider it to be HIGHLY unlikely that TU loses to both W&M and JMU. The most likely outcome is they win both.

JMU fans are pulling for UD to beat W&M tomorrow and TU to win @ W&M next week...

Outside of Maine, the CAA is a clusterfuck of teams this year. I'm going to go ahead and agree with my Bud Light-swilling buddy on these calls.

The CAA might not be as strong as the Big Sky this year, but I'd put its teams up against anyone else. If both leagues get 4 teams in, I guess the playoffs will tell the story. BTW, as a Tribe fan, I don't expect any JMU fans to ever pull for the Tribe to win. NH might be the 4th CAA team if it runs the table and the Tribe and JMU finish 7-5. I expect the Dukes to win this weekend, though and make it a moot point.

The schedule makers for the CAA really punished the Tribe this year. The Tribe has faced 5 CAA games against teams coming off their bye weeks. So 5 teams had 2 weeks to prepare for the Tribe. Hope that anomaly hits a different school next year.
