And on another note, could they not have adjusted these fucking brackets so we didn't have TWO CAA teams and TWO Southland teams AND two OVC teams playing each other in the round of 16? Would that really have been THAT difficult?

I'm pretty sure they did that on purpose.

SDSU is winning it all. They beat the best team in all of college ball, NAU.

They're gonna favor cheap regional matchups, and conference games like that are allowed in the second round.

What does the CAA have to do with this? Its not their fault the BSC lost.

There are no cupcakes in the Western bracket. Well, other than Coastal. :coffee:

BIG FLUFFY WELL NAMED? Bit soft so far. SDSU with 4 losses blows NAU out? Not a good omen for next week. Looks like they were overrated. CAA drew soft opener but did what they should have by blowing the creampuff out.

Let's see what next week brings...

SDSU & SHSU would roll 75% of the other bracket. Has nothing to do with "soft".

There are 3 or 4 teams from the East that would have done the same thing against NAU had they gotten in. It has everything to do with soft. NAU only one loss in Big Sky would have been 4-4 at best in CAA.

Glad UNH turned things around against the 2nd best team in the PFL after losing to the third earlier in the season. :coffee:

Seems his mouth has forgotten about a certain CAA team coming to Cheney in 2010. Let's see if I can help him remember.

Which explains, I'm sure, why there have been so many CAA national champions in recent years. :coffee:

 The only recent champ is NDSU. How far back do you have to go to find Big Sky championS (as in multiple)?

Oh, not as far as the CAA....

In fairness to NAU, did you see the game? Their starting QB went out, for what I suppose was a shoulder injury, and they wouldn't let the backup throw the ball but a couple times. Looks like he was beat up as well.

Anyway, my point is that after NAU lost their starting QB, they went to run only mode and SDSU just teed off on them. Don't know what the story is, but I sat there with my mouth agape wondering why in the hell they didn't at least run a couple of play action pass plays, but they just kept running it. :ohno:

Did Poe get injured (he came back later)? They've been platooning the both of them all season. The backup, Cartwright, is the guy who led the Sac State comeback.

We just got the wrong teams in. SUU was a poseur all year, and NAU is well known for late-season collapses.

We'd have been better off with MSU and/or CP....

I thought so. Even if he wasn't, why didn't they do some play action pass? Looked like the Griz at many time this season - if we just keep pounding this hole, it eventually will open!!

According to the Flag paper, Poe got his ankle rolled. Cartwright looked awful as a replacement - had to have been injured as well.
