It most certainly is in an unbalanced conference where teams don't play everyone. NAU belonged in the play-in game...they were there for a reason. Don't get too puffed up because you beat them...they basically looked at beating Montana as their super bowl, and essentially mailed it in for the rest of the year.

Well I've never seen conference standings written on turf. And wouldnt arguing that because they got the seed Montana was 2nd best, even though seasons results (you know, silly things like head to head, records, standings, things that were decided on the field throughout the year) contradict it would make it more of an on paper argument?

Never implied sdsu was garbage. I stated facts. The committee agrees EWU is better than sdsu, that's why sdsu had to play NAU on the road just to have the honor of playin EWU in Cheney. So as of today, according to the committee, the NCAA, & the polls EWU is better than sdsu.... Amirite sdsu fans?

But as oregon has proved time and again against stanford and sec teams, the formula to beating a quick strike offense is not in a shootout, but by keeping them on the bench.
