The only thing that program has going for it better than NDSU is the money. Laramie is a tough place to coach at. I lived there for a year back in the day, and it's amazing to me that they're able to recruit kids to come play there. Really doubt Wyoming would have even been in the top 25 in FCS this season.
Wyoming has more money, better facilities, and plays in a far more prestigious conference.

Has anyone thought of the possibility that Bohl just likes a challenge? If you can make noise at Wyoming, that would be one hell of an accomplishment.

You're all over the flyover states! Have you been to Idaho and Eastern Washington also?

Well for one thing Bohl won't have to fight over the use of his stadium at Wymoing - like he did at NDSU...since NDSU doesn't have their own facility.

He has an IPF

Wyoming has new locker rooms, new IPF, new weight room, an athletics center dedicated to athletic tutoring, meeting rooms, etc. Stadium is renovated with huge luxury box suites.. no, da_bison, you haven't. Wyoming's facilities are some of the best in the Mountain West.

That's a pretty sweet stadium. Reminds me somewhat of East Carolina's digs.

Yeah...I've driven past the stuff (in 2009) and was blown away by everything.

I've been to Fargo for a game...

It's not close.

Remember, NDSU doesn't have their own football stadium. Bohl had to fight to get an indoor practice this week to get out of the blizzard....

I won't deny any that, but it's not like Wyoming as a program has earned any of that. Let's be real - it's true because it's the only Major University in the State and is propped up by the State legislature. Please don't try to spin this into some sort of "Wyoming is great" thing.

Wyoming's facilities are obviously better than most anyone in the FCS, but their attendance figures certainly aren't.

Wyoming does have nice facilities but they are the only state school in the whole frickin state...they should be top dog.

If NDSU was the only state school, they would be on par with a Wyoming or Boise State....facilities wise.

NDSU averages more fans than Wyoming.

If I remember right there were a ton of closed roads going into Laramie for that game.. hence the bad attendance.

An interesting article that I thought most of you would also find interesting. Personally I do not recall this ever happening after a coaching change. It sounds like Bohl might coach the Bison through the season.

The sports network is also reporting that Bohl will coach through the end of the season.

Eh.. normally 20-25K when they're good, 17-20K when they're bad. Laramie's a bitch to travel to, esp in the weather.. unlike anywhere in the country. In the winter you can usually expect some sort of road(s) closure on any day of the week. Not easy to fly into because of the size of the town (just a regional airport).. which means you fly into Denver and drive 2 hours north usually. One of the coldest places in the US.. not far behind Fargo.

The players voted to have Bohl and assistants continue to coach until the season is over.

Kill actually accepted the NIU position prior to SIU losing to Delaware, but it was not announced prior to the game.

I could have seen him at Nebraska. But if he continues to win at Wyoming he won't last there long. Glad we are done playing Wyoming for now. Bohls is a hell of a coach.

This isn't about facilities (wyo's are better) This is about money & the potential to make even more money at the bcs level if he turns it around.
