Hey nothing says "hire me" like taking a HC job at a mediocre conference's school, bringing in D-1 kids from the school you left at and ending a long drought of playoff losses. . . He didnt leave Baylor to become a dominate FCS HC. . . sucks for the OVC if they offer it to him.

This is not his first interview this season either. Whoever gets him (EIU or other schools) are getting a great coach and quality character.

There are rumors out there about Storrs giving Ambrose a call, but he'd be nutty to jump to them. UConn is a basketball school in a have-not FBS conference with, hell, a worse football TV deal than the CAA has. Ambrose said in a recent interview he came to Towson after, among other things, Caret told him they wanted a winning football team, not just a team for the sake of fielding one.

The only thing that concerns me is how Rob talks about Connecticut being his second home. But his family is here in Maryland. And he's recruiting just as well as, if not better than UConn now. UConn is screwed not being in a BCS league. AAC is going to be MAC, C-USA level.
Only ting that could cause him to leave is stragne things going on behind the scenes lately with the President and AD.

I hope he stays.

Isn't the AAC on ESPN? The CAA gets a whopping 5 national games a year on NBCSN. I wager most people on this board couldn't give the channel number for NBCSN off the top of their head if their life depended on it.
