Well, all the 5-loss teams were auto-bids.
And it's not the expanded field to blame. Montana State made the field with 5 losses twice a decade ago. I should also point out that 6-4 Idaho got an at-large back in 1995.

Didnt you pay attention to the plethora of lousy teams that made it as at large teams this year solely based on their record? Check any of the computer rankings. There were ten better teams available to the committee.
Dude, again with this computer rankings ****? NEWS FLASH: Win more f'in games and you'll make it into the playoffs. I don't care how difficult or easy your schedule is, if you can't win 7 games out of a 12 game schedule you don't deserve to be in, PERIOD!
That is just dumb. I guess you like the weak 8-3 teams getting into the playoffs so you can post some patsy wins even in the tourney. I would rather see the best teams get in. Watch the NCAA basketball selections. Number of wins doesn't count anywhere near the way it does in the FCS. Big East/ACC teams with 7,8 and 9 losses get into the field routinely while teams from the mid-majors with 3,4 or 5 losses are left home. AND, those Big East/ACC teams make deep runs frequently and sometimes win the whole tourney.

not only did Maine get upset at home, and bitch slapped out of the playoffs.. But EWU is in the semis for the 3rd time in 4 years and this is the best you've got? Kill yourself!
No thanks....I'm into self preservation. Oh no......Maine lost the only playoff game that it has ever hosted to an arch rival on a winning streak having taken down #4 and #5. How many playoff games has Eastern Washington won on the road throughout the years? Maine has won at McNeese and Appalachian State (twice).

Yes. The 4th best team in your conference had 6 DI wins, half of which were against SB, URI, and Penn. Perhaps we should have had them playing Fordham in the 1st round so they could have lost a second time.
Now...who were the other 9?
Probably over stated the 10 figure but certainly there were 6 or 7 teams available to the committee that would have been better selections.
Villanova beat TOWSON at TOWSON and lost to UNH at UNH by 1 point (Both teams alive in the quarters, thanks for making my point-SOS is a big deal) and ...
almost every computer ranking has them in the top 10 in FCS including the Massy ratings that had the 4 teams that are left in their top 5. But, computer rankings aren't accurate according to you. Nova is #9 in Massey.

Eastern has become Montana....they rarely go on the road any more. Their last 7 playoff games have been in Cheney.

We beat seeded SIU and McNeese within the last decade.

Stop it already. nova didn't deserve to be in the playoffs. They were 6-5. Four of those losses were to FCS teams - Maine, UNH, Fordham and (gulp) JMU. Fordham was proven to be a fraud, JMU wasn't very good, and sure, you made it respectable against Maine and lost a close one to UNH. You keep talking about the close losses and how if those just went differently how different it would be, but that also ignores the close wins nova had this year - beating W&M and UD with scores in the last minute surely balance out the close losses. Face it, nova was about a .500 team. One really good win (Towson), wins over likewise middling teams (W&M, UD), and then three wins over pretty bad teams (Penn, Rhode Island, Stony Brook). nova just didn't beat enough good teams to warrant picking a 6-5 team. And it wasn't all that close of a decision, either.

Read what you just typed you ignorant bastard.
Maine is a fxckin joke. Maine has no business posting in a "CAA is back!" thread, you cant return to where you've never been.
Both CAA teams play on the road this week, and against team ranked higher than them.
Towson has ONE PLAYER that's a game changer. Chop that ass down & your INFERNO TOAST.

So nobody expects them to win, including me. Nobody has beaten NDSU the last two years in the playoffs and EWU is tough on the red turf. But if the CAA teams do win, I don't expect you will be here posting on Sunday.

Read your own post. They lost to Boston College who would beat NDSU and 3 tourney teams. My point is SOS matters. Deserve means what to you? Some of the teams selected didn't play more than one or two tourney teams. I'm not gonna stop because I'm right. And...this isn't a VU vs. De thread, this is a CAA is back thread. Don't you think more teams from the CAA were better than the last 4 teams that received at large berths?

Has already been posted previously. We've knocked off a #1 and #3 seed on the road before. Nice try.
