What Sherman did to poor Erin Andrews was uncalled for. But I'm sure Carroll will keep a short leash on Sherman, and make sure the gracious Wilson is on the mike more often than not.

I like what Sherman did, I hate the stupid cliche answers that people give postgame. The pussification of America & the everyone gets a trophy mentality & let's cancel school on a threat of snow needs to get pushed aside. Were the people whining about Sherman's comments watching the same game I was? These two teams hate each other, there was jawing the whole game & it didn't just start today, heck they had to make an effort to keep the two teams separated in pre-game warmups.

They asked the guy who made the play of the game to walk through it literally 2-3 minutes after it happened - what you saw was real & if you had a problem with it, deal with it, this was REAL reality TV.

BTW, I had no dog in the fight (actually loved Seattle growing up), but that was one of the most lopsided ref games I've ever seen in the NFL.

I ran over to Crabtree to shake his hand but he ignored me. I patted him, stuck out my hand and said, “Good game, good game.” That’s when he shoved my face, and that’s when I went off.
...
But that’s not why I don’t like the man. It goes back to something he said to me this offseason in Arizona, but you’d have to ask him about that. A lot of what I said to Andrews was adrenaline talking, and some of that was Crabtree. I just don’t like him.
...
To those who would call me a thug or worse because I show passion on a football field—don’t judge a person’s character by what they do between the lines. Judge a man by what he does off the field, what he does for his community, what he does for his family.

But people find it easy to take shots on Twitter, and to use racial slurs and bullying language far worse than what you’ll see from me. It’s sad and somewhat unbelievable to me that the world is still this way, but it is. I can handle it.

Also super classy by Seattle fans by throwing food at the injured 49er as he was carted off the field. :thumb: :thumb: Denver will be getting tons of fans for the Super Bowl.

And listening to Sherman's account of what happened on the field is pure bullshit.

We knew half the story. Now we know more...would be interesting to hear Crabtree's version of events.

I have even less, didn't think it was possible, of him after issuing an apology today.

If he would have stuck to his guns and either not brought it up again, or stuck to his guns on what he said, at least I could respect him for sticking to being a dick, but now that he apologized...he is lower than A-Rod.

He's one of if not the greatest corners in football right now but the throat-slash and post-game rant showed a serious character deficit. Yes the teams hate each other but that doesn't excuse him being a complete dick. The throat slash was taunting and is extremely poor sportsmanship. The NFL can find a way to fine him for it if they want to.

I actually like the way Seattle plays but I find it humorous that they like to play with a chip on their shoulder and then get whiny when anybody else plays against them with a similar chip. Sherman likes to dish out the crap but takes it personally whenever anyone gives it to him? He's a great corner but a hypocrite and a dick.

I'm sorry but what you do on the field and after the whistle does reflect on your character. Don't want to be judged on that then stop acting like a classless dick or be man enough to apologize when you do. I understand getting caught up in the heat of competition and saying/doing something you shouldn't but man up and admit it.

It's the Seahawks against the world because Sherman turned the majority of the people who didn't have a rooting interest in the game into Bronco's fans. It's their own fault.

Where does Sherman rank compared to Romanowski, Dobler, Terrell Owens, Suh, etc.? That's the company he's keeping with his behavior.

I don't think it was throat slashing, but choking, which was appropriate for the moment. And I would argue that anyone is allowed to play with a chip on his shoulder if he can back it up. I would have no problem if Peyton Manning came out tomorrow and said he was the greatest QB to ever play and then went on to win the SB.

And I bet the NFL executives LOVED that! It went from just talking about Manning for 2 weeks to actually having a good vs. evil vibe. And that lends to better ratings. :thumb:
