Actually 22, three of them are preferred walk-ons.

I like this class, it addresses some needed areas (CB and DT) with Keeton and Leota. It brings in some nice size on the OL and some much needed speed! It will be fun watching these kids develop.

I read somewhere today that Satterfield supposedly "held some guys out" last season so we could go into the '14 season with some strength....not sure I believe it, but here's our recruits, 27 in total:

You should have just posted this because that guy is a MAN and he is probably the most talented player to ever not play for your program.........yet.

If he has any kind of head on his shoulders and can stay healthy he is going to be HUGE for your program in the next coming years.

Other than that, you guys are MSU and you get what you get.

Check out this kid. He broke his leg in a football game over a year ago and they had to amputate it from the knee down. Played his senior year. What guts!!! :thumb:
Good story, thanks for sharing. Hope he makes it. :thumb:

You're about nine players short. Full list here:

One three-star and six two-star recruits in the group, for what that's worth (nothing).

Yes. This is the best recruiting class in CSU history. This coaching staff worked VERY hard to get this class. I can't remember this many from in-state. And, we have finally broken through by keeping some Charleston area talent in the area.

If you want to fill the stadium, you need to recruit home grown talent. They bring their family and friends and don't need to drive far for home games. The home grown (Charleston area) talent will keep the local media engaged and focused on our program.

I love how Coach Chadwell didn't mention The Citadel by name when talking about Bobby Ruff. Instead of saying "The Citadel" when he mentioned Bobby's dad being an All-American, he just said that Bobby's dad was an All American "up the road." Classic! I love it!

Here is the official link to our signing class information, including Coach Chadwell's comments and the highlight video for most of the athletes. Enjoy!!! I know I did and BucDad did!

And, this is local print media coverage from the Post and Courier

Charleston Southern Gets Defensive on Signing Day
"We want to get the best kids from wherever we can, but we tried to focus within a six-hour radius," said Chadwell. "Our goal is to own this state FCS-wise, and people are going to see us recruit South Carolina very hard.

Albany's NLI Website:

http://www.ualbanysports.com/ViewArticl ... =209385284" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

2 transfers (one JUCO and one a starter from Maryland)
20 high school athletes
1 4-star transfer
4 3-star HS commits (these 4 are also all in the top 3 FCS commits for their positions nationally)

Obviously rankings and stars don't mean anything on the field, but hopefully this class pans out with its on-paper potential.
