Hockey is tough, but most shifts are in the two minute range. While crew is probably tough and most schools in the midwest don't have it, I would still rank swimming as the toughest. That's why the Iron Man contest are only a 3 mile swim, 26 mile run and 125 miles on bike. Wrestling is also a need-to be-fit sport.
If you are playing a 2 minute shift in hockey, that is a ton. Should easily be on and off in under a minute. With only 3 lines (and the occasional 4th) for forwards and 2 lines (and the occasional 3rd) for defensemen, you get back out there pretty quickly after you are off.

I don't think hockey is the toughest (and I'm a big hockey guy) but I didn't think we were talking about in-game fitness. I thought you were talking about fitness as in practice. If you knew what crew went through, you would agree with me. They run distances and sprints, lift a ton and spend hours on erg machines which are basically torture devices disguised as fitness machines.

US piss pounds Slovakia 7-1. Next up are the Ruskies on Saturday.

After the first few games it's looking like the usual suspects of Canada, US, Russia, Sweden and Finland.

US swept the medal podium in slopestyle.

Gotta love it when some stoners in Colorado make up a new sport, because you know the US will be great at it for a few years until the stoners in Canada catch up. :thumb:

Maybe Shawn White knew what he was doing when he decided to skip this event....hell, he couldn't even medal in his OWN event...

Different event. This was the slopestyle skiing today. He would have been in the slopestyle snowboard event.

Looks like the lone Russian entrant in Men's figure skating Plushenko withdrew with an injury. Wonder if that gives us a chance at a medal.

No problem. Tough to keep up with all of the x-games events they added to the Olympics. I wouldn't have known except that the other slopestyle was on the first day I think so I saw them talking about it then.

White is gutless bitch. Withdrew from slopestyle when it was already too late for an alternate to take his place. :tothehand:

You'd love our family reunions.

Mostly drinking and fresh seafood buffets.

Nope. White is a snowboarder. He withdrew from the slopestyle snowboarding event. USA swept in the slopestyle skiing event.

They did a nice feature on her Ibanez. Hope you caught that. Talked about her family, kids, miscarriage, finishing 4th at Vancouver and the disappointment, etc. Good stuff. :thumb:

She looks just fine for a mother of a couple of kids. Plus she looks a heckuva lot classier than the other American chick with the dyed red (and I mean red like ronald mcdonald) hair.

A general observation: skeleton is not flattering for any woman's ass. Everyone of them looked like they had an exaggerated ass with the face down riding position. The only one that didn't have a big ass was the Russian chick, but she probably weighs 99 lbs.

I loved how the female commentator kept talking about how her weight would help her on the uphill sections. I'm sure she'll love that.
