For more than 20 years, Ukraine's Sergei Bubka has been the only man in the world to clear 20 feet. No longer! In Bubka's own hometown, he watched Renaud Lavillenie of France break his record today. The new record is 20'2.5". Wow!

King Sergei dethroned!

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Bubka had a rep for either setting a world record or no-heighting. While he's amazing for being the only man over 20 feet for more than 20 years, that's a record I wouldn't care to have. Making SOME height is always better than not getting anything....
