No suspense there...the Lions have already reached a contract agreement with Stafford...hours before the draft begins...

Waaaaaayyyyyyy to much money. NFL needs to do something like the NBA and have a limit.

i thought they were shortening it because they dont kick off the draft until afternoon now...

I agree. No way any rookie should make as much money as a proven veteran. I think the NFL will address the issue, but a change would require agreement from the NFL Players Association and management. There is no guarantee that will happen.

Management yes, the union not so much. With the average career lasting something like 3 years, they want to get as much money as possible.
