Heck, I'll pull for the Hens - it isn't like either of my teams will be doing anything after this week. :ohno:

Speaking of letting my UD season football tix go, I am using it as an opportunity to do other fun stuff. Just got my Martinsville tickets in the mail for the STP 500 in three weeks. Can't wait.

That is the one thing that I am halfway jealous of big city folk. They are near NASCAR tracks, you being one of the super lucky ones..you got Bristol and Martinsville, a couple of my bucket list tracks.

My wife bought me this a few years back for our anniversary - not my video, but it gives you a little perspective. I only hit 141 unfortunately.

UD has to be the favorite but it's tough to beat a team 3 times, just ask Towson.

Big question for me is how Delaware's legs will be today. They have 4 guys who have played 73+ minutes over the past 2 days and only had 2 other guys who played more than 20 minutes total in the 2 games. For the Tribe, Thornton played 71 and Gaillard played 60 minutes for the guys with the most minutes on the Tribe while 6 other guys played between 31 and 57 minutes in the 2 games.

If the game is close in the end, the fresher legs may help the Tribe.
You're right with Usher & Saddler - who have logged major minutes all season long. Baptiste has been in foul trouble the previous 2 games & only played 16 minutes yesterday. Threatt is not a worry, he was suspended for a month so regardless of what he played the past 2 days - he's like a dynamo & has a gear that nobody else in the CAA has - he can drive the ball at will.

UD opens as a 5 point favorite.

Good stuff man. I'm going to do one of those with my dad hopefully soon. And then again with my sons in ten years or so.

I think I mentioned it before, but I had the extreme pleasure of doing a ride along with Dale Earnhardt Sr. around Dover Downs in 1980 in the Winston promo stock car. Great fucking memory of course.

Clutch performance for the last 1 minute or so. Wasn't looking good down the stretch. Hens went from 12 up to 6 down in the second half.

Completely crushed but congrats. We had no answer for Baptiste and could not hit a free throw to save our life. Will be rooting for Delaware in the NCAAs

Tribe Pride you guys played great and I thought with around a minute left you might've had us. Baptiste and Threatt played great, fitting those were the two guys on Thornton at the end. I never thought I'd congratulate Monte Ross on winning the CAA!

Way to go guys!

I have close ties to both teams. Very exciting game throughout. Congrats to the Hens, and the Tribe fought valiantly. Gotta hit your foul shots.

You didn't watch much college hoops this year, they've greatly de-emphasized the charge call, especially closer to the hoop. (Except for the end of the Cuse-Duke game - see Jim B reaction)

Yes they have. But even if they hadn't that last one with Baptiste and Thornton was a grand flop by Thornton. And I was rooting for the Tribe. Plus isn't it better to let the players decide the game without help from the guys in the striped shirts? I mean no one wants to see 70 to 80 free throws.

This play was not your normal charge where the player is dribbling down the court running over the defender who moves in just before the offense gets there. Baptiste had the ball in the low post near where Thornton was standing and put his body into Thornton which knocked him down with a little help I am sure. He got called for it earlier in the game (2nd foul I believe) but also got away with it later in the game before the final basket so they called it both ways during the game which as we all know is annoying.

In the end, though, other things cost the Tribe the game. While there were a couple of calls and non-calls I disagreed with, the refs did not really decide the outcome of the game.

Usher along with Saddler made 1st team all CAA this year. Usher played great for the Hens, wish we would've had him for more than just the 1 year.
