Soem good action so far.

Lol at Ohio State.

       @ Duke

Lot of good close games. Some WTF where you thinking moments in the SDSU - NMSU game last night. The Aztecs tried hard to give it away, fortunately they held on.

All the 16 seeds put up a fight except for cal poly. :ohno:

I watched the KSU - Kentucky game on mute (in-laws in town, I have continued my binge drinking for 3 days), I didn't know the BSC refs were going to be used in the tourney. Looked like every call went Kentucky's way, and there were some gawd awful calls as well. Probably didnt really matter as KSU couldn't make a basket to save their lived.

   @ VCU. Up 4 and you foul a guy shooting a 3 in the closing seconds.   And :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: at the VCU coach's post game. "It's a learning experience for him. He needs to learn. He needs to know better" (quotes were seomthing along those lines). So much for making it a team effort and team loss guy. :dunce: :ohno:

Entertaining tourney so far. Fair amount of upsets and soem good games qued up in the coming days.

No shit, SD.
Hey Shaka, you mean to tell me you have never discussed what to do, and not do, in the closing seconds of 1 point, 2 point, 3 point, and 4 point games? That's just shitty coaching. Needs to learn?????? Howz about you teaching him????

Fuck vcu.

Round of 64 I-AA football schools have been double digit #11-#16 seeds versus #1-#6 seeds in 13 of 14 games. So they’ve been favored to go 1-13. Yet they have gone 6-8, pulling 5 huge upsets. Outstanding!
#16 Albany lost #1 Florida
#16 Cal Poly lost to #1 Wichita Sate
#16 CCU lost to #1 UVA
#16 Weber lost to #1 AZ
#15 Wofford lost to #2 Michigan
#15 EKU lost to #2 Kansas
#14 NCCU lost to #3 Iowa State
#14 Mercer beat #3 Duke
#13 UD lost to #4 Michigan State
#12 NDSU beat #5 Oklahoma
#12 SFA beat #5 VCU
#12 Harvard beat #5 Cincinnatti
#11 Dayton beat #6 Ohio State
#2 Villanova beat #15 Milwaukee

On top of that, #1 seeds are 120-0 versus #16 seeds. 9 times out of 10 it’s a blowout. Yet #16 CCU lead #1 UVA by 10 at one point in the 1st half, and by 5 at halftime, which is practically unheard of for a #16 vs #1. #16 Albany was tied with #1 Florida with 14+ minutes in the 2nd half. #16 Weber St only lost to #1 AZ by 9. Was this the best #16 seeds have ever collectively done?

Good question. I followed the game last night and was very proud/surprised that CCU didn't let VCU walk all over them. I thought it was a good showing from our school. :thumb:

The SEC is undefeated through the first weekend. They've gone 7-0 with only three teams.

Who woulda thought?

Florida is no surprise and we all knew that Kentucky had the ability but a tough 2nd round matchup. Tennessee is the one that is surprising, partly by luck of the draw in this round but you can't pick your matchup so good for them.

Both Kentucky and Tennessee have tough next rounds though against Louisville and Michigan. Florida should keep rolling to the Final Four especially with who is left in their region

Any of you all do an ESPN bracket challenge? I don't follow college b-ball, but got into a ESPN bracket pool. Spent 2-3 hrs researching teams by record, SOS, made note of where the games were being played, injured players, how teams finished down the stretch, and other prognosticators previews & predictions.

So far have 12 of 16 Final 16, 7 of 8 in Final 8 left, and all Final 4 teams left. In the ESPN bracket thingy am 99.6 percentile with 500 points, easily in 1st place among the group of 9 of us.

My biggest boost was going with all 4 #12 seeds over #5, and it worked with 3 of them, Harvard over Cincy, NDSU over OK, and SFA over VCU. Also have #6 Baylor still in it.

I spent a total of rougly 12-15 minutes filling out 5 brackets. In the pool here I'm in the 83rd percentile. In another one I'm in the 99th percentile, with 2 more in the 93rd percentile. The fewest S16 teams I have left is 10

Two to three hours? I hope you'll win a good amount of money for that shit.

I'm not kidding it was maybe 15 minutes to do all 5 of them (not counting page load time between them).

Do you not follow CBB that you needed 3 hours to research teams?
