I figured it was a delay until MONDAY and my DVR will pick it up and I will catch it in the AM.

ONCE AGAIN: You still cannot post something that anyone can understand. Try posting a name or a car number dickbag.
Once again dickbag, anyone who watched the race knew exactly what I was talking about. Its COMMON practice on message board game threads for people to comment where you won't know what they're talking about unless you're watching the game/race. :dunce:

And why would you go on a game/race thread where people will have given the outcome away if you are taping the game/race to watch later?

I was recording and watching the race about an hr behind- thats why my comment came about an hr after the race ended. If I wasn't watching the race until the AM hrs like you I wouldn't have clicked on this thread until after I watched the race, figuring someone would have given away the outcome. :dunce: I record all the races and often watch them hrs or even a day or 2 delayed. And until I've watched the race I'm not going to come on this thread of anywhere else if I can help it that will give away the winner/outcome.

Bd needs a break from message boards.

He's been struggling lately and is becoming a very very bitter asshole.

I'm with grizza on this. I didn't see the race...I didn't dvr the race...I won't see the race.

If simply posting something on a game or race thread which would be known to anyone else who was watching makes one a bitter asshole then this board (and about every message board) is full of bitter assholes...

That isn't just what makes you a bitter asshole....there is a full list of things.

Also...

Even in game threads for football/basketball/baseball games names are used to describe what happened...To not do so in a thread that has maybe 4 or 5 people actually following it is just...not smart.

I will watch a Griz basketball game and will always post who made the shot or had a block or whatever. I don't post..." that was a great steal and layup " and expecting everyone to know who I am talking about. :dunce: Grow up. You really have been a humorless angry little man lately.

How about the NASCAR official ass-bumping the caution lights on accidentally with 3 laps to go?

That dude is very lucky it started raining at the same time. D Waltrip made a good point that is was a stroke of luck that might have saved a crash/injury.

This is why NASCAR should not have races in California.

Kyle Busch won a race where a a large number of drivers suffered blown or flat tires, often after spinning and/or hitting the wall, which caused numerous cautions. Track is rough, hasn't been repaved since 97. But it was the same tire as last yr. The commentators mentioned it was the same tire as last yr, but there was more downforce & camber. Also heard teams were going with lower air pressure to increase grip, which was one of the culprits. Regardless, that was too many blown tires and cautions.

"....But Johnson, who led 104 laps, blew a left front tire and drove his car to pit road, handing Gordon the lead. No caution.

Brad Keselowski suffered his third left rear tire failure a lap later but stayed out of harm's way. No caution. The same fate befell Marcos Ambrose on the same lap. No caution.

Finally, when Clint Bowyer's Toyota spun on lap 198, thanks to a flat left rear tire, NASCAR called the caution that set up the two-lap dash to the finish.

The tire issues that surfaced during Saturday's practice sessions -- particularly in the left rear position -- plagued drivers throughout the race, not just at the finish. Kevin Harvick caused the first caution on Lap 18 when his left rear tire blew......."

After Harvick it was Earnhardt, who had 2 tire failures, after the 1st of which he slammed the wall, still managed to finish 12th. And Stewart later on. And a bunch of other drivers.

"Auto Club 400: Tire problems perplex drivers; NASCAR, Goodyear blame teams

A bumpy, worn Auto Club Speedway saw a litany of tire failures hamper Sunday's race.

But was the culprit the track, which hasn't been repaved since its 1997 opening? Or, were teams simply pushing beyond the limits suggested by Goodyear? Theories abound, with no definitive answers.

Jimmie Johnson was one of those who pointed at a tire not suited for speeds reaching 200 mph, and believed Goodyear laying the blame at teams was standard procedure for the tire manufacturer. The defending Sprint Cup champion also had tire-related problems a week ago at Bristol Motor Speedway.

"We did everything we could to win the race today, unfortunately something out of our control let us down," said Johnson, who led a race-high 104 laps.....

Goodyear brought the same tire compound to Fontana as it had the previous two years. But offseason rule changes have increased speed and downforce and put more strain on left-side, which were the bulk of the failures Sunday. Goodyear recommended teams run 20-22 pounds of air pressure. However, NASCAR vice president of competition Robin Pemberton said some teams running 14 pounds of pressure. NASCAR, like many drivers, absolved Goodyear.

"Over the past few years we've been on a path to add mechanical grip, give more options to the teams," Pemberton said. "We've opened up camber rules for grip in both the front and the rear of the car. They have a lot of tools to use if they choose to do so.

"But the tires weren't wearing. At some parts of the race, the tires were abused a little bit, so I guess that's why the failures."

Pemberton's comments echoed those made by Goodyear, which said the responsibility lays with the teams themselves.

"Every left-side tire that we've seen gone down or had issues with is kind of the same characteristics as (Saturday),'' said Goodyear's Greg Stucker, according to Motor Racing Network. "The common denominator being aggressive on air pressure. You're in race conditions, so everybody is running a little bit harder. It's not surprising that you see a few more if people haven't made adjustment from where they were (Saturday).''

Third-place finisher Kurt Busch was one of the few who did not experience issues Sunday. He did though have a problem during practice Saturday, which prompted his Stewart-Haas Racing team to go with a more conservative setup. Busch offered Goodyear and NASCAR resounding praise.

"It's up to the team's discretion if you're going to have a problem or not," Busch said. "By no means is this a problem for Goodyear, it's actually a thumbs-up for NASCAR allowing the teams to get aggressive in all areas."

ACS' aged surface is attributed to the increased quality of racing the track has seen in recent years. With multiple grooves, the two-mile oval has become a favorite for drivers, who have been outspoken about the speedway not resurfacing as many other tracks have done; an unpopular trend which is frequently cited for the lack of side-by-side racing at many facilities.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. didn't blame Goodyear; instead he said an excessively bumpy backstretch was the real cause -- though he's against a complete repave.

"The bumps are getting worse and worse and are too bad now," Earnhardt said. "I don't think it's low air pressure. ... I'm telling you, the bumps back there and unlike any other thing we see. If they don't tear the tire up, I don't care that it's bumpy. You just go through them and fix the track whenever you feel like fixing it. But, if it's tearing the tires up and if that's why, we need to look into it."

Earnhardt endured two failures Sunday en route to a 12th-place finish, but his troubles were nothing compared to a pair of his Hendrick Motorsports teammates.

Johnson was comfortably in the lead with seven laps to go when his left-front tire came apart on the backstretch. This handed the top spot to Jeff Gordon, who was nursing his car around the track trying in vain to protect his tires. But his lead evaporated when Clint Bowyer lost a tire and spun brining the day's final caution.

"I hate the caution came out," Gordon said. "I hate Goodyear was not prepared today for what happened. They are so good at what they do and that is just uncalled for.

"When I saw (Johnson) had issues I was just hoping we would make it to the end and I was just going as slow as I possibly could trying to maintain the lead and cars were just blowing tires left and right all around me. It's unfortunate that was happening."

I had to pick up Jr at the airport on Sunday evening so I had to listen to the end of the race on MRN and I'm sitting in the cell phone lot yelling at the damn radio. Not only does my favorite car get absolutelly SCREWED, but the win goes to my least favorite. The strange thing was the announcers on MRN barely mentioned how unlucky Gordon was. All they said was "Gordon slipped all the way back to 13th (or whatever spot he ended)."

For any of you guys who watched... what happened? I was under the impression that Ky Busch also took 4 tires on the final change. How was he able to move up while Gordon restarted so low??

Courtesy Yahoo! Sports
After Jimmie Johnson, Brad Keselowski, Marcos Ambrose and finally Clint Bowyer had tire issues in the final 10 laps of the race, the caution flag flew for Bowyer's spin as then-leader Jeff Gordon had two laps to go until the scheduled end of the race.

The race then became about tire strategy. While Landon Cassill stayed out in a Hail Mary attempt for his low-budget team to snatch an improbable win or top 10, everyone else hit pit road. Kurt Busch, Tony Stewart and Paul Menard took two tires. Everyone else, including Kyle Busch, took four.

Stewart and Kurt Busch battled for the lead through turn two that final lap and when Stewart slid high, that opened the door for Kyle Busch, who came through the middle with Larson right behind him. Larson made a dive into turn three for a way around Kyle Busch, but unlike Saturday's race, he wasn't able to power ahead of him for the win.

But that doesn't explain what the hell happened to Gordon. IIRC, Ky was outside of the top 3 when the yellow flag dropped. Did Gordon's crew just shit the bed on the last stop? That was some bullshit by NASCAR throwing the yellow.

Keselowski-Busch- Rivalry On!

"......"He does awesome things for charity and he's probably the most talented race car driver," Keselowski said. "He's also one of the dumbest."

In the media center, Busch called Keselowski's attempted retaliation a "punk-ass move."

"He will get back what he gets back when I decide to give it back," Busch said.

Though no driver wants to be involved in a rivalry, NASCAR execs are likely high-fiving. In the offseason, the sport changed its championship format after growing tired of seeing overly friendly competitors settle for good points days instead of go all-out for the win. And if that wasn't the truth, it was at least the perception.

The 2013 Chase for the Sprint Cup was marked by a close competition but hardly a rivalry; Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth fought for the title but texted each other during the weekends and even had their daughters play together on race days.

Keselowski and Busch respect each other, but they're also the kind of drivers who don't take any bull —from anyone. Former teammates or not, there's no chance Keselowski will back down when he feels his team is being taken advantage of. And when Busch feels wronged, he's not the kind of driver who will let any perceived disrespect go unpunished....

..."I'll remember that when it's lap 50 and he needs a break," Keselowski said. "He'll find his (expletive) turned around in the wall like he tore my car up. That (stuff) will come around."

"I can't believe he overreacted and is as upset as he is," Busch said. " ... He brought it out on the track and he really tried to ruin our day. If we would've got a flat tire at that moment ... there would have been hell to pay."

Busch was initially so upset at Keselowski's harassment that he declared there would be a postrace fight in which Busch would "(mess) that dude's face up" He even radioed to ask NASCAR for help with Keselowski's aggressive driving.

Told of Busch's comments, Keselowski's eyes narrowed.

"Tell him come here," he said angrily. "I'm right here. He knows where I'm at. Leave victory lane. Let's go."

NASCAR's new Chase qualifying rules certainly won't be a deterrent to any fireworks. Both drivers have already won a race and essentially sealed their playoff berths, meaning points don't matter.....
