Newcastle United Fights To Prevent Relegation
Big mach for them today taking Portsmouth to a draw.
This put them in great position to fight out of relegation. They are currently 3 points behind Hull City with the following matches remaining; @ Liverpool, Middlesborough, Fulham, @ Aston Villa.
Prognosis, 1-0-3 to finish 7-13-18 with 34 points.
Hull City has four matches remaining against; @ Aston Villa, Stoke City, @ Bolton, Manchester United.
Prognosis, 0-0-4 to finish 8-10-20 with 34 points.
First tie breaker is goal differential and right now Newcastle has a 6 goal advantage there.
Shoul be an exciting final few weeks for them.

That's very optimistic on your part. You have to expect that Liverpool will beat Newcastle United - the game is at Liverpool and Liverpool is fighting for first overall.UNHWildCats wrote:Big mach for them today taking Portsmouth to a draw.

I also think Hull City has a good chance to win at home against Stoke City.

Newcastle is in trouble. They are going to need help around them to get out. Or win some big games.

I want to share your optimism... but probably not...
Good match today... but again... all they ever manage is a draw

Middlesborough-Win
Fulham-Loss
Aston Villa-Loss
All this = Relegation

if that happens and Hull City loses out... not impossible, and more likely then not, then depending on goal differential (currently Newcastle has a advantage by 6 over Hull City) then Newcastle would avoid relegation....polsongrizz wrote:Liverpool-LossUNHWildCats wrote:Big mach for them today taking Portsmouth to a draw.

Re: Newcastle United Fights To Prevent Relegation
Hull losing out is possible...
they play Aston, Stoke, Bolton and the Red Devils in their final four Aston and the Devs should be able to mop them... trouble is a draw with Bolton or Stoke, which are both very possible... would be the end... which is why i'm not optimistic.

Or if Newcastle draws with Middlesbourgh. They haven't been scoring much lately.

Re: Newcastle United Fights To Prevent Relegation
Although I pick AV to beat Hull, one never knows. Same thing could be said of the AV Newcastle match though, which is this.
Aston Villa could only muster up a 1-1 tie against Bolton this past Sat. Bolton is in 13th four spots behind Hull.
Looks like I will be going to my favorite pub in Vegas since they play next Monday and we will be gone.

best time i ever had watching the EPL was at MGM Grand in Vegas... woke up WAY too early for Vegas and watched in the sports book with about 300 Man City fans (who were in town for a Ricky Hatton fight that night)... what an experience.polsongrizz wrote:Although I pick AV to beat Hull, one never knows. 3-0 loss to Liverpool today doesn't help. But they are lucky that the teams around them lost too so they haven't lost any ground.
In other news Wolverhampton and Birmingham are both getting promoted back into the Premier League.

Hull City didn't play yesterday. They play at Aston Villa today. After today everyone will have three games remaining (except Man U and Wigan, but they aren't part of this discussion).slycat wrote:3-0 loss to Liverpool today doesn't help.
