Um...it's already happened. There have been women playing AND umpiring in the minor leagues, and there's a woman playing pro football AS WE SPEAK. So "that won't happen" has already gone out the door, never to return, bandl.

A woman tried out for the Chiefs back in the '90s. Of course, she was trying out for kicker. Had they signed her, that move alone would have sold out Arrowhead IMMEDIATELY because she was the best known female athlete in the world at the time....
