What's Next in the World of Sports Crazies?

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Women being allowed to play with men.
HA!
No, fureal, that won't happen. But how about blacks outnumbering whites in hockey?

Um...it's already happened. There have been women playing AND umpiring in the minor leagues, and there's a woman playing pro football AS WE SPEAK. So "that won't happen" has already gone out the door, never to return, bandl.bandl wrote:Women being allowed to play with men.

Minor leagues don't count in my book.SuperHornet wrote:Um...it's already happened. Which NFL team has fielded a woman (Besides Romo with the Cowgirls)? Arena, Canadian, XFL, etc. don't count either. Those are all just knock-off's of the NFL and everyone with a pair knows it.

Does that mean that FCS is just a knock-off of FBS too?bandl wrote:Minor leagues don't count in my book.

A woman tried out for the Chiefs back in the '90s. Of course, she was trying out for kicker. Had they signed her, that move alone would have sold out Arrowhead IMMEDIATELY because she was the best known female athlete in the world at the time....
