The two criminals put this guy in a situation he didn't have to be in if they had followed the law. Not only that but now it's possible Kaarma is going to miss out on his sons childhood.
The second kid was part of the killing, he was there and aided in a crime being committed.

How can the kid be an accessory to manslaughter when the defendant is charged with deliberate homicide?

I don't want to get shot...I don't break into peoples houses/garages.

Be honest Grizza, if you saw a kid in your garage would you shoot immediately or would you try to get them to leave/subdue them in a nonlethal manner first?grizzaholic wrote:I don't want to get shot...I don't break into peoples houses/garages.

I would shoot pretty quickly. Honestly, folks should be able to leave their garages open at night with no worries about people stealing everything.Vidav wrote:Be honest Grizza, if you saw a kid in your garage would you shoot immediately or would you try to get them to leave/subdue them in a nonlethal manner first?grizzaholic wrote:I don't want to get shot...I don't break into peoples houses/garages.

Ok. I wouldn't leave my garage open to ambush a thief.
If I heard something in my garage or house in the middle of the night I would investigate and if shinanigans were about I would call the cops...but I wouldn't wait around for 15-30 minutes for them to arrive.
If someone was in my garage (and my garage door happened to be up) I would make sure my house-to-garage door was deadbolted and locked. Then I would walk outside and tell them to lay down and crawl out.
If they didn't, I wouldn't go around shooting into my garage and damaging my property in hopes of putting down an intruder...but I sure wouldn't give the intruder a clear shot of me.
Now if I was some of the folks on this site I would make sure I had a cart, motorized pallet jack, (even a dwarf for helping out) to aid in the neighbors stealing me blind.

From the Missoulian....
"Markus Kaarma may have been under the influence of marijuana when he shot and killed German exchange student Diren Dede, according to a search warrant requested by Missoula police.
The search warrant also indicates that during previous burglaries of the Missoula home, unknown suspects had taken all the marijuana and marijuana pipes out of the garage."
This would also explain what the kid was doing in the garage......
