Operation American Spring..

Post by Ibanez »

Tomorrow, May 16, a date which will live in infamy.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/201 ... ust-obama/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
A group of self-described revolutionary-style patriots with a million mobilized militia members are heading to downtown Washington, D.C., this week to bring a simple message to political leadership, from President Obama to House Speaker John Boehner: Get out.
They’re called the Operation American Spring — and they’re vowing to oust the likes of Mr. Obama, Mr. Boehner, Attorney General Eric Holder, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Sen. Mitch McConnell, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Vice President Joseph R. Biden, Raw Story reported.

Alpha, as our "man on the ground" I look forward to your first hand reports.

I'm all for that. However they need to get their message to America to do just that - vote them out. Even though politicians in both parties have done their best to fix elections for the House & state & local government positions by gerrymandering their voting districts if people opened their eyes & voted for change we may actually get it. :twocents:

I will be too busy working, to attend.

I have my own way of getting somebody out of office, when it catches on........there will be some accountability and those that serve will be a lot more reluctant to continue on as they are.

One of the people involved also did a big thing, demonstration in DC last year where he promised a huge number of demonstrators. I think the article said 6 showed or something like that.

There isn't enough beer in DC for 10,000 militia let alone 1,000,000.... Never happen!

There aren't TEN people within 50 miles of the Capital who have issue with the way things are being run. And how in the fuck do they expect 10,000,000 people to GET to DC by tomorrow? :dunce: :dunce:

I think he meant "between 10 and 30" people.

The numbers quoted are too funny, especially for something that doesn't seem to have been heavily advertised. And I love when people want to oust our democratically elected leaders (and people from both sides are guilty of this). I didn't agree with President Bush on most things, but I never wanted to forcibly oust him because of his views. There's nothing wrong with offering differing opinions and cultivating critical arguments, and it should be encouraged, but there are good and bad ways to do so...

...this instance isn't a good way to do so.

They want to oust elected leaders and put unelected people in place. That's the opposite of constitutional.

I don't think anyone here is taking this "operation" seriously. A bunch of rednecks that are bitter their man lost want to overthrow the gov't. If this were 1840, maybe they'd have a chance. But any armed rebellion in America doesn't stand a chance against our military might.

When that bubble goes up, don't be surprised at the number of military men/units who play for the side of the "rednecks". :coffee: :coffee:

There are always defections but i'll take the side with the assault rifles, tanks, howitzers, etc... vs. those with AR-15s and poodle shooters.

Most of those guys will not take up arms against American citizens and the ones that do.....it will be very easy to steal their tank from them. Its funny that people like you are afraid of the government and think they are that powerful.

From what I've seen a good many of the self proclaimed "militia" types (not the leaders but the followers) will go home the 2nd day after the beer runs out.
