Note, however, that the variance between African-American democrat registration percentage to African-American democrat candidate vote percentage has been single digit since 1964, jumping to double digits in 2008. Which still supports the premise that race significantly influenced African-American voters in 2008.

You either keep exaggerating or you don't know what words like SOLELY mean.

Again, they voted overwhelmingly for Democrats and have continued to do so... IN PART because of LBJ passing the VRA...

... but, when you say things like "soley" you ignore the fact that they also voted so heavily for LBJ and have continued to vote for Democrats... because of the INTENTIONAL strategy of the Republicans to win over southern white votes and alienate black votes.

If Republican opposition to the Voting Rights Act (as long as a host of other issues at the time) were not so vociferous and ugly black wouldn't have voted nearly has heavily for LBJ and wouldn't continue to vote as heavily Democratic.

You're removing any sort of blame Republicans share in their inability to win black votes.
