Hooray for our new President. I hope he gets things done. I hope Americans will put aside their personal hangups and realize that it will take ALL of us to change.

I do not care a rat's a$$ what color Obama is, and I am glad we elected a black president. A decade ago I was disappointed when Colin Powell decided not to run.

The changes Obama "wants to get done" are destroying the country and reducing the standard of living for everyone from the bottom to the middle. The top have paid off Obama and the Dems like they also paid off the Repubs, so they will always retain their position on top.

We're NOT "in this together," any more than a rape victim is in it together with the perpetrator.

Correct. I consider myself a moderate. I have voted for both Conks and Donks. I vote based on the person, not the party. Its more fun to lean dem on this site though.

I don't agree with all the bailouts but the banking sector cannot be allowed to collapse. But the auto industry can go bankrupt for all I care.

That wouldn't really be the case b/c of the FDIC. Anyone with 250,000 in the bank would not be dumb enough to put it in one bank account.
