Hence THIS gem in the quoted material:
Although early computer models predicted a diminishment of both Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere sea ice due to anthropogenic global warming, subsequent modeling has posited that the results of warming around Antarctica would, counter-intuitively, generate sea ice growth.
And as pointed out by the author, GW apologists have effectively taken the position that NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS TO SEA ICE, it's a result of global warming!

NOAA QUIETLY CHANGES CLIMATE NUMBERS REVERSING CONCLUSION

Post by travelinman67 »

WHOOMP, THERE IT IS!

NOAA Quietly changes data to reflect REAL data, NOT fabricated model estimate projections.

May 2014 no longer "hottest on record".

Thank You Steve Goddard!!!

Not to interrupt this conk circle jerk but are there any articles from websites not funded by the Kochs, Exxon, and/or the heartland institute reporting this stuff?

* I hope they're right in their skepticism, but if not...please carry on.

Please, I've been waiting for articles from Pro-AGW "scientists" who aren't on the dole from a political agenda driven government bureaucracy. :tothehand:

Which of the evil conservative sources funds Daily Caller?

Here, I'll save you the time.

NONE

But, then again, it's irrelevant.

Attack the source.

Contribute nothing.

Demand more proof.

Waste their time.

It's a commonly known fact that antarctic sea ice is at an all time high. The "source" has nothing to do with it.

Excellent! Then post evidence from a non-biased source. I'll truly be impartial...

How about an article from that bastion of conservative thought, The Washington Post quoting an atmospheric scientist from Colorado State who says observation of Antarctic ice does not match models, then starts throwing out unproven suppositions to try and not lose too much support...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/cap ... -saturday/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

“This modeled Antarctic sea ice decrease in the last three decades is at odds with observations, which show a small yet statistically significant increase in sea ice extent,” says the study, led by Colorado State University atmospheric scientist Elizabeth Barnes."

Update on WWU Prof. Easterbrook's 20 yr cooling projections. Some may remember his md-90's projections conflicted with IPCC models. Easterbrook became the recipient of the "consensus" shoutdown machine, battling to keep his job.
Now that his cooling projections have been validated, and the IPCC models have been debunked, Easterbrook has published updated projections...of continued cooling...supported bynumerous iinternational climateologists...

watch what happens to your research grant when you publish findings not acceptable to the consensus scientific community- and try getting a grant in the first place without stating a pro-AGW intent
