Should be a great match. Both teams needed late goals to beat mediocre African teams, but the final score is all that matters.

Germany doesn't appear to be buoyed by ethnic Africans. The Germans look like they only have 1 ethnic African, at least that has played, and he didn't play their 1st 3 games. I was surprised when I saw the lone brother out there for them today. From what I have seen, they are one of the whitest teams in the tourney, and the whitest in the final 16.Grizalltheway wrote:No, I'm saying European teams buoyed by ethnic Africans are superior.93henfan wrote:

Uh, Boateng, the player in question, has started every game for the Germans in this World Cup. By your analysis, he should be easy to spot.BDKJMU wrote:Germany doesn't appear to be buoyed by ethnic Africans. Is every non-USA black dude in the tournament named Boateng? Is it maybe an international rule or even a slur that your best negro is called Boateng?
Because you could have fooled me if not. And my, are they ever dark. I prefer a lighter black person, because they are less threatening to me.

What country do we play next? Is crying, actual tears, tolerated in the "knockout" round?

Crying is acceptable only if you're Mexican. It's their birthright to cry once they make, and then get eliminated, in the "knockout" round. It's what they do.andy7171 wrote:What country do we play next? Is crying, actual tears, tolerated in the "knockout" round?

Re: US SOCCER
German national team diversity:
Mesut Ozil - Turkish-German
Sami Khedira - Tunisian-German
Jerome Boateng - Ghanan-German
Shkodran Mustafi - Albanian -German
Lukas Podloski - Polish - German (born outside Germany)
Miroslav Klose - Polish - German (born outside Germany)
So, 6 out of 23 by my count could have selected to play for another country (in 2010, Germany had 11 out of 23 who could have played for another country).
USA has 5 players born outside of the country and I think 7 or 8 who could play for other countries besides the US. So Germany is on par.
National football (Soccer) is diverse, France just happens to be one of the more historically diverse countries. What's even more funny, is that 25 players in the 2014 World Cup were born/raised in France and don't play for France (16 on the Algerian team alone, Frances largest immigrant population). Some of the noteables:
Andre Ayew - Ghana National team (Scored the goals that tied it up with both USA and Germany). Born, raised, and plays professionally in France.
Sofiane Feghouli - Algerian National team. Born and Raised in France. Scored Algeira's first goal in the world cup in 28 years.
Gonzolo Higuain - Argentinian National Team. Born in France, raised in Argentina.
French Team (starting 11):
Patrice Evra - Born in Senegal, raised in France
Paul Pogba - Born and raised in France to Guinea and Congolese parents
Raphaël Varane - Born and raised in France. Can claim Martinique heritage, both parents from France
Blaise Matuidi - Born and raised in France to an Angolan father and French mother from the Congo.
Karim Benzema - Born and raised in France to Algerian parents
Olivier Giroud - Born and raised in France
Hugo Lloris - Born and raised in France
Mathieu Debuchy - Born and raised in France
Laurent Koscielny - Born and raised in France
Yohan Cabye - Born and raised in France
Mathieu Valbuena - Born and raised in France to a Spanish father
As for the French bench. 1 player was born outside of France. So, France - 2 players born outside of France. USA - 5 players born outside of the USA.
I better not hear about any of you hippy scum drinking any of those Belgian beers made by Anheuser Busch today.
