CA Top Cop Jerry"Moonbeam" Brown Becomes Crime Victim, Again

Post by travelinman67 »

First, Mob Boss Senate Prez. Perata gets his state paid for, custom wheeled Dodge carjacked in downtown Oakland, and now, former Guv. Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown, current State Attorney General (...and Gov. who eliminated indeterminate sentencing and appointed CASC Justice Rose "No One's Home" Bird), gets the wheels stolen off his state-owned Camry while parked in front of his residence in the Oakland Hills.

AND THIS WASN'T THE FIRST TIME HIS STATE OWNED VEHICLE HAS BEEN THE VICTIM OF THEFT...

State's top cop victim of tire theft

Oakland -- Even the state's top law-enforcement officer isn't immune to crime.

A scofflaw made off with the two passenger side tires from state Attorney General Jerry Brown's state-owned Toyota Camry hybrid as it was parked outside his Oakland hills home, his office said Thursday.

Brown, Oakland's former mayor, was attending the state Democratic convention in Sacramento when the theft occurred on the night of April 24, said Brown's spokesman Scott Gerber.

It was not known whether the culprits knew that the black car was used by Brown, police said. No arrests have been made, said Oakland police Sgt. Rich Vierra, chief of staff to acting Police Chief Howard Jordan.

Amy Morosini, 40, a neighbor of Brown, said she was driving with her family to a college reunion on Saturday when she saw the car on a cinder block. "I guess I kind of chuckled at first," Morosini said today. "I kind of just pointed it out to my husband and said, 'Oh my God, look! Someone stole Jerry's tires!"

Morosini said the incident underscored her belief that "we have nobody here in Oakland, basically, who can manage the city and protect us. Nobody's immune here in Oakland. Nobody."

Brown, the former governor of California and Ron Dellums' predecessor as Oakland mayor, plans to run for governor again next year. He served as Oakland mayor from 1999 to 2006, lives in Oakland and works at the State Building in downtown Oakland...

...This isn't Brown's first time as a crime victim: in August 2007, his official state car, a Lincoln Town Car, was broken into when it was briefly left in front of the State Building at San Francisco's Civic Center. A thief stole the GPS unit inside, and Brown filed a report with the California Highway Patrol.

After that incident, Brown said, "I'm going back to Oakland. I've never had my car broken into there."
Yeah...Oakland CA, with the 4th highest crime rate of all major cities in the U.S.

Hmmm...lemme see...let's take a stroll down Oakland's political memory lane and find out who's been responsible for implementing the most liberal large city policies in the U.S...

...and creating the Crime Capitol of California.
