You get 20 transfers (trades) for the first half of the season and 20 more in the second half.

You simply sell a current player and then buy a replacement that you want. That equals 1 transfer.

Sorta, but not quite that easy.

Transfers
After selecting your squad you can buy and sell players in the transfer market. Unlimited transfers can be made at no cost until your first deadline.

After your first deadline you will receive 1 free transfer each Gameweek. Each additional transfer you make in the same Gameweek will deduct 4 points from your total score (Classic scoring) and match score (Head-to-Head scoring) at the start of the next Gameweek.

If you do not use your free transfer, you are able to make an additional free transfer the following Gameweek. If you do not use this saved free transfer in the following Gameweek, it will be carried over until you do. You can never have more than 1 saved transfer.

Wildcards

A Wildcard allows you to make unlimited free transfers throughout a Gameweek. You can use up to 2 a season.

Playing a wildcard will remove any points deductions from transfers already made in the same Gameweek.

One wildcard can be played at any time. The January Wildcard can only be used after Gameweek 20 starts (1 Jan 11:30) until Gameweek 23 ends (1 Feb 11:30); as the January wildcard isn't available until after the Gameweek 20 deadline, the earliest these transfers will be active is Gameweek 21.

When playing a Wildcard, any saved free transfers will be lost. You will be back to the usual 1 free transfer the following Gameweek.

No you're not. It's to your advantage.
I've found that you need to keep an eye on the following when picking your roster and your transfers:

Injuries & Suspensions (duh...however, you can get great players on the cheap if you buy them injured/suspended and if you can afford to let them sit until their return. I did that with Suarez last year and he more than made up the difference versus anyone else I could have used because no one else in my league could afford to buy him for the rest of the season)
Potential for injuries (i.e. RVP who is made of glass)
Potential for yellow/red cards (like Zabaleta...good player to have on defense because of clean sheets and potential to score, but picked up a boatload of yellows last year)
Teams with managers who rotate their rosters every week (like Arsenal and ManC...teams like Southampton of old and Stoke very rarely rotated their core players except at forward)
Teams playing in Europe where the manager might give players a week off (all the big squads except ManU)
Teams still playing in the league tourneys

Looks like Bayern may end up landing Khedira, but smartly, they want him to see out the last year of his current contract to avoid paying a huge transfer fee.

Yep, that's right. Just to piss of 93, it's called THIRST.

You shouldn't need the league code, but just in case here it is: 523809-134433.
Just signed up. I suck at these types of fantasy games, baseball, football soccer. Hopefully we get a few more signed up

Real Madrid and Man Utd will play in front of 110k at Michigan Stadium in a meaningless exhibition later today. Hen, why didn't you tell these people they were supposed to forget about soccer after the World Cup?

Inevitably a couple players will quit throughout the season (my guess is clenz will quit in frustration and griz will just forget all about it), so we need a few more players to keep it interesting.

You can still play around with it until the season starts.

Every league needs a whipping boy. Wait. Don't get excited about that. :?

Work is blocking the link, but I'll sign up at some point when I'm home.

I'm hoping to be like the women that pick their NCAA bracket based on team colors or uniforms then end up winning the pool :)

I have no plans on quitting...I just likely finish last.

I assume you'll be picking based on attractiveness? They are mostly twinks, though.
