Will Rory Beat Tigers Record?

Post by Gil Dobie »

Once Tiger passes Jack for most Majors won, will Rory then beat Tigers record. I think Rory can do it if he keeps his focus. If he's out watching tennis matches and not practicing golf, he won't.

Tiger won't have the record and he won't catch Tiger anyway.

Jack, in an interview yesterday, said Tiger has a good 10 years of golf left. If healthy, he should be able to win 4 majors in 40 chances. Jack won #15 at age 38, Tiger is 38 this year, so there is a chance.

Not unless he starts banging the waffle house staff again. He's shot, love watching him golf but between back and knee surgeries a swing change and a little extra weight he's done. I honestly would be surprised if he won another major.

He needs to hit on that blond in the video that was supposedly telling him she was available! In his day, Tiger would have already checked her off his list! :D

Yup. No one's catching Jack now, and Rory won't catch Tiger.

Rory is 13 years younger than Tiger. 1 major in each of the next 13 years and he passes Tiger with ease.

If Tiger had won one major in each of the last 5 years, he'd have passed Jack already. If your aunt had balls she'd be your uncle.

Tiger wasn't healthy the last 5 years. If he wins 1 each in the next 10 years, he'll pass Jack and give Rory a good number to chase.

Exactly. Even "if healthy" four majors is tough for an entire career. Let alone at the end of your career, which you are not healthy to start with.

Jack went 13 years with either 1st or 2nd in a major :thumb:

Prior to that it was 7 strait, the his best was 6th the next year, followed by the 13 year streak.

So if you are keeping track, that's 20 out of 21 years.

Tiger ain't Jack. I think that's abundantly clear at this point.
