About that...

Even Moyes had 4 points at this point...

Oh, and it won't last past this week but look who sits top of the table...

This is just nuts

Every member of the Spurs XI completed a pass in the build-up to Nacer Chadli's second strike

Here's the top passers from one of the goals of the Premier League season so far:
Etienne Capoue - 14 passes
Jan Vertonghen – 10
Nabil Bentaleb - 6
Younes Kaboul – 4
Erik Lamela - 3
Danny Rose – 3
Nacer Chadli - 2
Eric Dier - 2
Emmanuel Adebayor – 2
Christian Eriksen - 1
Hugo Lloris - 1

ManU loss 4-0 to a 3rd Division team in the Capital One Cup. Really bad start for them this year after starting the year losing to Swansea and tying Sunderland to open the season. I know it's early but unless they improve soon, they could find themselves outside of the top 6 again this year.

Earlier today, they completed a $99 million transfer fee for Di Maria.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... -deal.html

Federico Fazio has agreed a four-year deal to join Tottenham Hotspur and plug the hole left by captain Michael Dawson's move to Hull City. Spurs have clinched the £8 million signing of central defender Fazio from Sevilla, with 30-year-old Dawson heading to Hull in a deal worth £6m. Dawson may not be the only central defensive departure from Tottenham, with Vlad Chiriches also free to head out of the White Hart Lane exit door.

Argentine Fazio has won two caps for his country and was at Sevilla for seven years, making 148 league appearances. Spurs are now looking to sell at least two midfielders before the transfer window shuts, with Sandro hoping to move to Napoli.

Striker Roberto Soldado could also leave White Hart Lane, as Tottenham consider a loan move for Manchester United's Danny Welbeck who is also interesting north London rivals Arsenal.

Fazio won more headers (120 4.4pg) last season than Vertonghen (57 2.5pg), Chiriches (25 1.5pg), and Kaboul (29 2.2pg) combined for Tottenham last season

Landing Welbeck would be nice as well.

Oh, and Schneiderliner and Jay Rodriguez are apparently still in the works.

Seriously, this transfer shit is crazy

Tottenham seems to be pushing for J-Rod much harder than Welbeck, but SH isn't cooperating right now. They've turned down everything thrown at them for Schneiderlin but after seeing him be on the field only because he had too last weekend (he wants out for Tottenham very badly) it's sounding like SH may give him up in exchange for combo of Townsend/Paulinio/Cash

Jay Rod likely won't happen this window. He loves the progress the trainers at SH are making with his knee recovery but wants to join his old manager at WHL. No one is quite sure when he'll play again as I've heard not until Dec/Jan or in 3 weeks. He seems more like a Jan window transfer so Welbeck would be a nice piece to have on loan for this season.

Welbeck wouldn't be a horrible get for him (like Fellaini). But now I wonder if ManU is willing to loan him out after their debacle last night. Seems to me like they would want to keep all the players around that they can until they figure out what works. But this doesn't seem to be the same well-run ManU of years past...

Man U is a mess. Everyone got real excited after their preseason tour but they've look like crap since their second or third game on that trip.

It sounds like if Tottenham get Schneiderlin from Southampton they won't be getting J-Rod, at least not in this window. Likely why Welbeck is a real option.

The signing of Federico Fazio is now official.

Wow...

Champions League playoff. Ludogorets vs. Steaua.

In the 118th minute with no subs... Ludogorets GK is sent off. Cosmin Moti, a center back, plays in goal for the PK shootout. He saves 2 PK's and they advance to the Champions League group stage 6-5.

Bayern are apparently close to signing Xabi Alonso from Madrid. He's definitely past his prime, but for 8 mil, what the hell.

Well, clearly they didn't qualify, but I'm sure you already knew that.

Man City's group will be fun - Roma is a real wild card as they were the only decent side coming out of Pot 4. Group B and F will be good as well. The other groups are actually kinda boring for me. Group stage for the UCL this year is just not that interesting, IMO.

Oh, and how did two Portuguese teams get into Pot A in the first place? Silly UEFA and their ranking systems. :ohno:

Sounds like Tottenham have given up on Morgan Schniederlin

@HotspurRelated
Get French Football understand Montpellier have accepted a bid of €6M from both Tottenham and Fiorentina for Benjamin Stambouli. #THFC

Sounds as though he has picked Tottenham.

I'd expect a full push at Jay Rod come Jan

Yeah...

I assumed it would be a 2-0 or 3-1 loss.

That PK that was awarded was a shit call.

Oh well...beat the teams below us and get a couple points from the top of the league.

Watching Leicester City right now and I really enjoy the way they play. I think I found my "lower level" club.

No, what's ****** is rooting for a team like Totty!

Too bad we can't play them every week.
