You decided to compare alcohol (not sure why) and admitted that it won't be a drain on the ACA. Can you make the same claim about weed? Only if you backpedal quickly. :coffee:
Compared to booze, weed will be a pain in the ass for ACA as people who use it will live longer than the drunks. Speaking of poor health habits…pizza!
I'm not against the legalization of pot. I'm against the idea that illnesses resulting from pot use are covered by the ACA. You guys jumped all over the alcohol related death statistics. Dead people are not spending money on healthcare.

Oh, and my pizza eating days are mostly over.

Republicans LOVE putting people in prison...
Especially for non-violent crimes - like Marijuana arrests

America Home of the free

We're either the most violent country in the world (which we are not) or the most legally insane
look below: You might have noticed that nine of the top ten are "red" states

We're basically the only civilized country (outside of Japan) that still uses capital punishment. :dunce:

The people in the other countries don't have to live with people from other countries like we do. Proof that diversity does not work.

No shit.

Most non-democratic don't belong to OECD.

So, the comparative value of incarceration rates is?

Nil!

Many non-democratic nations, Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar...

...can, and do, execute for mere possession and chronic use.

Sooo...tell us again how draconian and barbaric U.S. criminal law treats drug abusers/traffickers.

I was making a point about where your enthusiastic hatred for Marijuana comes from
Instead of facts and figures related to the advantages and disadvantages of legalizing pot you go straight to over the top buffoonery

The facts are in
Any true capitalist free market country knows

1) Its about as EVIL as any recreational drug (or less in most cases)
2) It is a revenue generator
3) All of its original bad press came from the Tobacco Industry
4) It is a wonder drug for Cancer Patients on CHEMO
5) It should be managed no differently than alcohol and Tobacco

:coffee:

Okay,
So how does that have anything to do with - how we - as a free capitalists society should manage marijuana...?
So everything that MIGHT cause damage (Like 44 ounce soda pops) should be illegal
Is that what you're saying..?

I don't understand your point..?
Lots of things are dangerous and perfectly legal in a FREE CAPITALIST SOCIETY
Please explain your point more clearly
