Actually, I've seen the movie a few times, It's actually a pretty good thriller, and the conspiracy theorist in the beginning turns out being right at the end..89Hen wrote:That would be big news. Not only did they not get bused, they didn't even get busted. So is this porn for you?...expandspanos wrote:Anyway, also that they staged the Sandy Hook thing and got bused.. That was pretty big news.. bigger than Ebola that is likely blown way out of proportion.

Re: Ebola in the USA: Are You Concerned?
No I am not concerned. I mean, if it were me I would indeed ban travelers and immigrants from the affected area in Africa right now. But it's still a very small risk to me personally and people close to me in the grand scheme of things. It is much more likely that I or someone in my family will die from a bad case of influenza than it is that me or someone in my family will die from Ebola. And I could name a lot of other things.
I think the idea that it will mutate into becoming airborne is really a stretch. I've never heard of that happening with any virus. If it takes direct contact with bodily fluids that's the way it stays. And our public health system really is by far the world's best.
We haven't seen any cases involving transmission within the United States yet. I think that the fact that we won't ban people from coming in from the affected areas means we may eventually see some of those. But I don't think Ebola is a highly contagious disease in the sense that something like influenza is. I don't expect it to spread wildly in the United States. It's the problem it is in Africa, I think, because Africa is a squalid place with horrible public health conditions.

Kid walks over, realizes everyone is playing "fake the Ebola Outbreak".. lays down, gives the media what they want.
Be AFRAID people.. but not of Ebola.. of our media.

Re: Ebola in the USA: Are You Concerned?
Remember the last scare? Swine Flu?
What ever happened with that?
Swine Flu Cases Overestimated?
If you've been diagnosed "probable" or "presumed" 2009 H1N1 or "swine flu" in recent months, you may be surprised to know this: odds are you didn't have H1N1 flu.
In fact, you probably didn't have flu at all. That's according to state-by-state test results obtained in a three-month-long CBS News investigation.
The ramifications of this finding are important. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Britain's National Health Service, once you have H1N1 flu, you're immune from future outbreaks of the same virus. Those who think they've had H1N1 flu -- but haven't -- might mistakenly presume they're immune. As a result, they might skip taking a vaccine that could help them, and expose themselves to others with H1N1 flu under the mistaken belief they won't catch it. Parents might not keep sick children home from school, mistakenly believing they've already had H1N1 flu.
Why the uncertainty about who has and who hasn't had H1N1 flu?
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/swine-flu-c ... estimated/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Let's see, before the swine flue scare it was y2k.. of course, we've got fake global warming to worry about, and the never ending "War On Terror" which is all based on nonsense..
Fear is the best method of control.. ask George Orwell.. "Keep them constantly afraid about things that aren't related to your rule"

In other news, October 20th will be the 42nd day since any new Ebola cases being reported in Nigeria. The Nigerians locked this shit down before it got out of hand. Now maybe they need to make sure that nobody from Texas flies to Lagos.

I made this very point to some "Ebola is going to get to America via Central America" alarmists yesterday - if Nigeria can contain it, any Western Hemisphere country (outside of maybe Haiti) could easily as well.

Re: Ebola in the USA: Are You Concerned?
Well that is true to an extent, but there are some unique factors that allowed Nigeria to crack the whip on Ebola. One is that their medical infrastructure is much more robust than many westerners realize. There are a couple other factors that make this thing easier to contain in Nigeria. I won't elaborate, but let's just say that I can see El Salvador or Honduras having a much rougher time of it, and in fact, those "enlightened" countries like Norway or Sweden or Spain could actually fare much worse, because they don't have the will to curb individual civil rights to lock things down. The story of the Spanish nurse and what she went through to even get a doctor to take her seriously is chilling.dbackjon wrote:CID1990 wrote:In other news, October 20th will be the 42nd day since any new Ebola cases being reported in Nigeria.
