Obama: Like Reagan, a reduction in government employment, low tax rates on top earners, but with better deficit reduction numbers, no amnesty of 11 million illegals, more bombs being dropped, and black.

Obama called Reagan a "transformational president."

Oh well, at least Reagan didn't bring us the ACA. :coffee:

All well and good, but he's fat, so America won't elect him.
Well, maybe he should excercise some of that executive authority that he exudes on himself, and quit shoving ho-ho's and ding dongs in his face. Do we really want a man with no self control with his finger on the button? :coffee:

A reduction in unemployment due to a millions dropping out of the workforce and the workforce participation rate at a 30+ year low.

Obama raised rates on the top earners. He also introduced numerous tax increases & new taxes with Obamacare..

Obma has worse deficit reduction #s than Reagan. Ratios of deficit to GDP:
8 years Reagan avg 4.2%
6 years Obama avg 7.1%
(Forbes article has 09'-12' avg as 8.9%. Yahoo article has 13' as 4.1%, 14' as 2.8%, which brings his 6 yr avg down to 7.1%)

http://news.yahoo.com/us-budget-deficit ... UAukdXNyoA" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Even IF the ratio of defict to GDP remains around 2.8% for Obama's last 2 years in office (I have my doubts as Obamacare hasn't taken full effect yet) his avg for his 8 years will still be over 6%, higher than Reagan's 4.2%.

Obama has already given amnesty to over 600+k "dreamers" + the wave of unaccompanied minors coming over now. As far as the rest, just wait till after the elections next month.

What's not to like about Christie?
Christie, who is term-limited, will not be running for re-election when his governorship expires.

"I'm never running for office in New Jersey again," he said at a conference over the weekend, according to a recording of his speech on the NJ.com website, adding that his legacy would be defined by his accomplishments in the time he has left in public service.

Christie, a boisterous leader who has been accused of bullying to get his way, also slammed the notion of becoming a legislator.

"The only job left for me to run for is United States Senate, and let me just say this: I would rather die than be in the United States Senate," Christie said.

"I would be bored to death. Could you imagine me banging around that chamber with 99 other people, asking for a motion on the amendment in the subcommittee? Forget it. It would be over, everybody. You'd watch me walk out and walk right into the Potomac River and drown."

What does that have to do with his job qualifications? It's great that he has lost a lot of weight, but maybe he shouldn't have gotten do fat in the first place.

He should, I can't remember the last time that one party held so many state governorships (might not be a word but I'm going with it). And Christie's been the chairman of the GOP governor's association during this ascendency. Considering the idea that past executive experience (i.e. being a governor) has been a carrot in the hat of potential Presidential hopefuls, this does widen the field (pun intended on Christie's weight) for potential GOP hopefuls for the next few years, while limiting the Democratic pool a bit.

I've never seen anyone walking around with a carrot in his/her hat. :?

Christie ain't the guy IMO. He's viewed as a bully, a RINO, and a guy who either gets his way or takes his ball and goes home. I like that he's decisive, but I question his methods. I'm not sure who the better candidate is - Paul, Bush, someone else? Jeb may be the best of the Bushes, but he's already running against the tarnished reps of his brother and father. Jury is out on Paul for me - I'll just have to see a bit more of these guys to make an informed opinion.
