Here is something to think about.
Thus far we have had two people with ebola travel on commercial aircraft. And we had one person that worked with ebola lab samples board a cruise ship. In these cases, we have the ability to identify each and every person that also traveled on the plane or ship. This would not be the case if it were other forms of mass transit, or if involved in food handling or something else. The government has shown limited urgency contacting and instructing the affected people (some notified by mail only :? ). If someone contracts ebola and rides a subway system or prepares salads at Golden Corral, we will be in all out panic mode.

My daughter worked her way through college at a Golden Corral. She said it had both the best food in town and the worst food in town but that only the worst food was for sale. The kitchen was mostly Mexicans and they kept half of a grill for cooking their own stuff.

JFC. :ohno:
I pick a restaurant with a salad bar that people might be able to identify with to make a point, and the thought gets completely derailed. OK, mentally substitute any other restaurant with a salad bar into the equation. (I was thinking of a salad bar since it is uncooked food).

So the people that lived with Duncan are out of their 21 day quarantine. How could those people not get ebola but the two nurses did?

I don't know the details of the health care workers' interactions with Duncan. But the fact that none of the people who lived with him became ill lends credibility to the CDC statement that it is not a highly contagious disease in the context of the United States. It lends credibility to the idea that it's not a threat to become an explosive outbreak in the United States.

Its was still down 173 pts today and 5% this week alone. After all those big gains from earlier in the year have been erased and its down 2.6% on the year..
Through the roof since your post last week.

What does this mean for ebola?

They probably don't have Ebola. But why take that risk? Why are they being allowed to come here? Why are we spending all this $$ with all these extra precautions and scares to let 150 or so a day non US passport holding Liberians/Sierra Leoneians/Guineans to come here?

It's the theme park of restaurants. Complete with the average American theme park guest types.
