FWIW - I voted for McCain, and I am not a fan of Palin. When McCain chose her as a running mate the first thing I though of was Dan Quayle. A pretty face with little or no substance. If Palin is the GOP nominee in 2012 I think Obama will be re-elected - easily.

She actually does bear watching over the next few years - I don't think she is as socially conservative as she portrays. I think she was VASTLY unprepared for the national spotlight and the political games that are played (by both sides). She is young, and I think better served by getting more national exposure. I don't see her challenging Murokowski for the 2010 Alaska Senate Race, but not sure what else she could do in the meantime.
