Question for you, since I need some advice:

My wife went to Penn State. And she was VERY heavily involved with EVERY penn state football game during her 4 years there because she attended every single game, along with 100,000+ other people.

My question is, should I divorce her? And if so, should I try to gain complete custody of my two boys?

Just like you, I think she should be persecuted to the highest degree for going to Penn State AND for attending their football games. Scum of the earth if you ask me.

Anyways, I look forward to your advice.

OH.
Probably.
I've only been there once myself. Just so happens that I met my future wife there at my only Penn State game.

FAGGOT*

BTW, JMU's colors are gold and purple. PURPLE. I cannot associate myself with a FAGGOT school!!! Guilty by association and all that nonsense. Can't have that.

I think I will choose Towson State as my new school. What do you think? Pretty flawless institution they got going on there if you ask me.

So what, you got nothing then? I've been a nova basketball fan for all my life, so let's not pretend this is something other than it is. You wanted to castigate an entire institution, and all the people that have anything to do with it, for the actions, or lack of action, of a handful of people, unbeknownst to anyone outside of the very small circle. That circle of people are now either dead, in jail, or under trial to go to jail. You said the culture and committment to sport was the common sin of the thousands of people who knew nothing about the actual crimes but because of the fervency of their fandom were complicit in the crime. Tell me then, how are you and I not complicit in Howard Porter getting money illegally, how are you and I not guilty of getting Gary McLain some coke, and how are you and I not guilty of letting nova basketball players illegally steal thousands of dollars in free phone cards? At least with the Howard Porter thing, the NCAA got it right because nova had a competitive advantage by playing a professional player. Like many inside the NCAA said in the lead up to sanctioning Penn St, what competitive advantage did they get?

I was probably watching nova play well before you ever did. I threw streamers on the floor at Palestra games and I had the front page of the Delco Times from April 2, 1985, (blue background with simply "Nova Wins" on the front page) on my wall as a kid growing up. I, however, don't have a blind eye.

Wrong again. I was in Lexington on April fools day 1985 and had been watching for decades. You are definitely not a Cat fan. If you were throwing streamers at the Palestra they were probably crimson and gray.

I've thrown all the colors. It is possible to be a Big 5 fan and a nova fan.

But this is distracting from the issue that you would excuse things your team and a small handful at the school would do to protect the sport you follow, but you would castigate another university, and the thousands of people who associate with that university, for the same behavior by a small handful. Convenient that you skipped away from that. :coffee:

One more time. Really don't know why you want to beat this to death, but here goes.

I can't work up a lot of sympathy for Penn State. The perpetrators of the cover up were the leaders of the school and what they were covering up was horrible. Although you have tried to compare them with some of the missteps at Nova, the comparison is not close. It is the kind of tired argument Nova haters always pull out when they are trying to diminish Nova. They have no place in this argument because they are not comparable mistakes.

I have not castigated all that attend Penn State in any of my posts. You have tried to frame my comments that way. It shouldn't really be that hard to understand why someone doesn't want to root for PSU. But then...
