Most storms you don't have to prepare. If you have a big enough snow like a hurricane coming that's you have public pronouncements a storm is coming from both weather news sites and public & govt officials. You have a 1-2 days period that the storm will hit. Have govt leaders gotten on TV and said "A riot is coming on such and such date?" Are busineeses expected to be boarded up, and thereby maybe not being able to be open or fully open for days and weeks waiting for an announcement that has been rumored to coming soon for the last couple of weeks, and maybe still be days or weeks away? An announcement that might announce charges or that might not announce charges that might cause rioting or might not cause rioting?

All the cities in the DC-Boston corridor are, like cities everywhere. I hear the Washington people speak of Spokompton, etc. so I assume western cities suck too. Get 10 miles away from I-95/NJTP in either direction and it's not a shithole at all.
