Timberwolves defeat the Nets, now have a 2-2 record.
Cleveland with Kevin Love, loses to Utah and now have a 1-3 record.

Sure it will change, but looks good right now.

In all seriousness, what's the NBA record for most consecutive losses to start the season? The Sixers are going to blow it away. 0-5, 77 more to go!!

The Sixers...I just don't get it. Why tank all last year & draft Embiid when Okafor will be the top prize this season & looks much much better than Embiid? Would've been better off with Exum, Parker or the like....

We can't even tank right   :twocents: :twocents:

Why would anyone pay good money to watch that team? If you want to watch good college ball in the Philly area, you have several excellent choices. But the Sixers? I don't care if they pack up and leave town. :ohno:

Kevin Martin puts up 37 as the Wolves end their 5 game skid against the Knicks.

Knick fan puts career on hold to attend all 82 Knicks games this year.

Link
Dennis Doyle knows how strange it must sound, his giving up his career as a lawyer to hit the road with his favorite sports team.

And then his story gets even more unusual. The part about his favorite team being the Knicks, an addiction since childhood. And choosing this season, of all seasons, to attend every one of the team’s 82 games, home and away. And withdrawing about $20,000 from his savings to make it all happen.

“I knew there was a chance that this could be a really awful season,” Doyle, 31, said Thursday at his apartment in Queens. “I asked for it, I guess.”

Ten games into the season, Doyle has already made more trips than two injured players, Jose Calderon and Andrea Bargnani. He bumped into Charles Oakley, his favorite former player, at a craps table in Cleveland. He stayed at an urban farm in Detroit. He has watched the Knicks lose eight times (and counting). And he has found his adventure to be a largely solitary one.

For those that may wonder, the 76ers are a LOCK to break their own NBA record of 9-73. No way this team wins 9 games.

Just wait until they win a game.

Dal will be back telling us they aren't tanking, just like last year.

Although, this many years in a row it might not be tanking. They might just be that bad of a franchise.

While it seems like a ton of years of tanking, it's just been mostly mediocre for years with the past 2 years and 2010 being tank like:
2013-4 - 19 wins - 2nd to last in NBA
2012-3 - 34 wins - 9th place in Eastern Conference
2011-2 - 35 wins (in a 66 game season) - 8th place in Eastern Conference - Playoffs
2010-1 - 41 wins - 7th place in Eastern Conference - Playoffs
2009-10 - 27 wins - tied for 6th worst in NBA
2008-9 - 41 wins - 6th place in Eastern Conference - Playoffs
2007-8 - 40 wins - 7th place in Eastern Conference - Playoffs

So in reality, while it seems they have been tanking every year to get good picks, they really have only had the opportunity to get that good pick last year and back in 2010. The previous 3 years and 2008 and 2009, it was just that middle 1st round pick that really won't help you get to the next level to be competitive for a conference title. And that is the reason these teams need to tank.

This joke of a franchise is committing sports malpractice. Deport them to Buffalo, Akron, Fargo, Camden, or some Godforsaken town like that.

Furkan Aldemir looks to be out of his contract in Turkey. That's a player the Sixers have stashed away in Europe while they tank gloriously this year. Just another player they can insert in next year when they stop tanking.
