Just finished watching Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson's (black, former NBA player) post decision speech from a townhall meeting in predominantly black community of Oak Park (Sacramento).

I am aghast. Mayor Johnson went on and on about his "disappointment" with the decision, even suggesting the "Grand Jury got it wrong".

Really?

Based upon what?

Only the Grand Jury had access to ALL THE EVIDENCE and access to ask questions of all witnesses, investigators and experts.

Yet some mealy-mouthed politician knows more than the Grand Jury.

I've supported Mayor Johnson for years...virtually backing 100% of his proposals and positions.
Gotta say, in light of his remarks tonight, I am beginning to lend credibility to JSO's remarks about minority loyalty. It doesn't appear that common sense or rule of law is factored into the "minority decision making process".

I am sincerely disappointed by Mayor Johnson's illogical response.

Definitely going to be speaking about this locally.

Sounds like this community to the south of Ferguson, Clayton, has the right response:

"Across the tracks from Ferguson, Clayton enlists private army to brace for trouble

CLAYTON, Missouri —St. Louis looks like a city prepping for a storm. In Ferguson, residents are filling their gas tanks and stockpiling supplies, as strip-mall business owners spray-paint “OPEN” on plywood barricades nailed across storefronts.

Twelve miles south, in the wealthy suburb of Clayton —home to a cluster of investment banks, upscale restaurants, art galleries, and the grand jury hearing for the Michael Brown case — the preparations are a little more sophisticated and a lot more expensive......"

Things seemed to kick up a notch when the police fired tear gas at the group carrying a female in medical distress.

Now there is small arms fire reported.

His response was not illogical...in fact, it was entirely predictable based upon Black logic.

Victim = Black. Johnson = Black. Shooter = White. Thus White = guilty.

It is similar to a math calculation...there is no other logical answer for the Black community when faced with such an equation.

Sad, but true. :ohno:

That really nails the situation. The immediate reaction from a critical mass of the Black Community is that some injustice occurred when they didn't really know such is the case. And from then on they weren't interested in some kind of objective search for the truth. Never mind that the grand jury apparently saw testimony from Black witnesses that Brown charged the police officer. The Black Paranoia phenomenon about how everybody's out to get them had already taken hold. And so it goes.

One of these days the rest of this society needs to tell that 13 percent of the population that enough is enough and we're not going to pander to that kind of crap anymore. Slavery ended in 1865. The Civil Rights Act was imposed to the exclusion of people's right to free association in 1964. We live in a society where official policy is to give Blacks extra points for being Black. It's time to stop this "everybody's out to get us" crap.

The truth is the society has been bending over backwards for some time to help Blacks and it's time for Blacks to stop blaming all of their problems on somebody else. Also time for those of us who are not Black to stop enabling this nonsense.

Officer Darren Wilson gets married to fellow Ferguson cop as grand jury decision looms

The New York Daily News ^ | November 24, 2014 | Laura Bult

He said “I do” while protests raged.

Amid an uncertain future and an impending grand jury decision, Ferguson, Mo., police Officer Darren Wilson married his girlfriend, fellow Ferguson cop Barbara Spradling, last month.

The 28-year-old, awaiting news on whether he will stand trial for fatally shooting unarmed black teen Michael Brown in August, tied the knot Oct. 24 with 37-year-old colleague Spradling, a 10-year veteran of the suburban St. Louis police force.

The couple, who share a home in nearby Crestwood, Mo., applied for a license last month in Clayton and were married in Oakland, Mo., by a municipal judge.
