Burnt pizza. There were about 25 fires set overnight, and 10 cars burned at a dealership, Ferguson Assistant Fire Chief Steve Fair told local media. A pizza shop, beauty supply store and two auto parts stores were among those burned.

I'm more curious about the last shots than the first ones but even the ones in the car leave me with questions. Try this with a 300 lb. behemoth and we can compare results: sit in your car with your hand on your pistol grip and have your enormous friend lean inside the car and put his hand on the barrel. Struggle for the weapon.CAA Flagship wrote:The two key points of evidence, as I see it, are:houndawg wrote:
Are you saying that the cops should have released the pics from the store sooner and the chief of police shouldn't have said the events were not related, and that the cops should have released the information about the fractured eye socket sooner for the public's edification?
1. That Brown was the aggressor at the car. It was reported that Wilson grabbed him by the neck and was trying to pull him in. I said a long time ago that it is unlikely that anyone can hold a 300 lb person by the neck with one hand when that person has the leverage to push off the vehicle. Also, the fact that Wilson's face was injured on the RIGHT side, rather than the left, is somewhat telling also. It is harder to injure someone on the opposite side of the face if you were trying to get away.
2. The fact that Brown backtracked 25 feet. It was stated that he dropped 153 ft from the car, and that blood was found in the street 25 feet beyond that.
These two explanations were not widely expressed by the media in the hours and days after the incident.
I haven't had a chance to determine where Wilson was in relation to Brown or the car when he fired the gun. I am assuming he was somewhere in between the two. Anybody find info from the transcripts on this?

Wilson: I drew my gun......I said, "get back or I'm going to shoot you."
Brown: you are too much of a pussy to shoot me.

I'm reading Volume 5 (Wilson's testimony). It's interesting to compare this to Dorian Jackson's interviews. Many similarities, several different accounts.houndawg wrote:I'm more curious about the last shots than the first ones but even the ones in the car leave me with questions. Interesting to see a local business that tried to say we're with you with the hands up signs and how it made no difference.

Wow. Just read the interviews. I'm already a few in and they all say the same thing, Brown was wrestling at the police car, he ran, turned around and NEVER had his hands up.

Re: War In Ferguson
Wilson said that he was backpedaling when he shot Brown at a range of 8-10 feet. No shots were fired while Brown was running away. Wilson first fired (from outside the car) after Brown turned around and began charging. (Begins on page 226).Ibanez wrote:Wow. Just read the interviews. The truth that came out is EXACTLY what I had mentally pictured based on the limited number of witnesses who were NOT hoodrats who went public.
I mean, it made no sense at all that a cop would pull a thug into his car or that he would shoot a nonthreatening thug with his hands up.

There is at least one video of the construction workers who witnessed the shooting that doesn't say that.Ibanez wrote:Wow. Just read the interviews. I'm already a few in and they all say the same thing, Brown was wrestling at the police car, he ran, turned around and NEVER had his hands up.

Re: War In Ferguson
The few I've read the witnesses say they see an altercation at the window but don't know what lead to it. That with Browns skin tissue on the car as he's shot, leads credence to the account. I've read one where the guy is changing his story. It'd be great if any of them spoke in coherent sentences.93henfan wrote:So you actually believed all the black "witnesses"?Ibanez wrote:Wow. FWIW, there were black witnesses, recording the events in real time, saying that Brown didn't have his hands up. I'm sure those are in there somewhere.

I would like to think the same, but then there seems to be weekly incidences of cops beating the shit out of/killing seemingly innocent people too.93henfan wrote:So you actually believed all the black "witnesses"?Ibanez wrote:Wow. Cops make mistakes, but if you aren't committing crimes or doing bad things you stand a much better chance of not having a cop make a mistake at your expense. If you're going to be a thug, I have much less sympathy for when a mistake occurs.kalm wrote:I would like to think the same, but then there seems to be weekly incidences of cops beating the shit out of/killing seemingly innocent people too.93henfan wrote:

This. The only run in's I've ever had with the police were in my youth when I was doing stupid shit. Act like a man, be treated like a man and you'll survive.93henfan wrote:Cops make mistakes, but if you aren't committing crimes or doing bad things you stand a much better chance of not having a cop make a mistake at your expense. The people walking around with signs that say, "Black lives matter."...
No shit. Of course they do.
The problem is that it takes too much work to make a sign that says, "Black lives of thugs who do drugs, steal, rough up store clerks, walk in the middle of the street, refuse to comply with cops, tussle with cops, and then charge cops aggressively don't matter."
