Where is the black leadership now that a grand jury has decided not to indict the police officer that killed Michael Brown?

Where is Al Sharpton? He advertises himself as a spokesman for the best interests of black America. But he is absent.

Where is Jesse Jackson, another popular media personality who says he speaks for black America? He’s missing in action, too.

Al Sharpton is in Ferguson right now, rousing the rabble. Expect more shit tonight.

Him and Jesse should be arrested, tried and executed. Those two are the worst things to happen to black people.

Comparison of eyewitness accounts.

I'm still trying to figure out the "hands up" thing. How can so many people claim the he had his hands up? It looks like he may have raised his hands briefly as he turned around, but lowered them when he began charging towards Wilson. If that is the case, all bets are off regarding surrender.

I know we won't get the numbers but I would actually like to know how much of the violence, looting, burning, etc. was led by locals and how much by the people who decided they were going to go to Ferguson to make a statement. I have no doubt that Fergusonites were involved at least to an extent in some of it but I would be more hard pressed to trust those who drove or flew to Ferguson recently to make a point.
Might be as close as you'll get....looks like 59/61 arrested were locals.

Not that either way would be good but that makes me sad that someone would do that to their own community. Really feel bad for the business owners of the places that were burned down, looted or whatever. It's easy to say that they should collect their insurance proceeds and go away but that is easier said than done for those small owners who have lived in Ferguson for years.

Michael Brown's stepfather consoled the dead teen's distraught mother after Monday's controversial grand jury announcement, and then turned to the crowd of demonstrators, saying, "Burn this mother f---er down" and "Burn this bitch down," according to a New York Times video.

Same thing happened in LA with the King riots. If you're pissed off at someone, don't tear up your own stuff.

As I stated earlier, they wanted to ensure the businesses had a chance to close and get their employees home. But that they feared a leak of information if they waited any longer.
They've been leaking information since two days after the event. Wilson sent his girlfriend to the radio to leak his side of the story, the cops leaked the pics from the alleged robbery, they leaked the fractured eye socket story...... nobody within 100 miles of St. Louis, black or white, ever thought there would be an indictment. Cops ain't ham sandwiches ya know...
