Philly took down a decimated Timberwolves team last night, 3 starters out with injury. No more talk about the record streak.

Yup - genius of winning last night. Now we can lose again in style and not have to worry about any specific record. And even if the Sixers end up with less than 9 wins this year, the only record that will be broken will be one already owned by the Sixers, so no biggie there.DSUrocks07 wrote:Until February rolls around and if they still have less than 5 wins.Gil Dobie wrote:Philly took down a decimated Timberwolves team last night, 3 starters out with injury. T-Wolves would be fine with Jones.GannonFan wrote:Yup - genius of winning last night. Now we can lose again in style and not have to worry about any specific record. Jones looked great too. I just don't think he's a one and done kid. Guards are a dime a dozen in the NBA, but big men with legitimate game are much less so.Gil Dobie wrote:T-Wolves would be fine with Jones.GannonFan wrote:

Jones and Okafur are best friends. They played AAU and on National Teams together. Pledged to go to the same college and are now room-mates. I think they will both to pro at the same time. Jones is a true point guard, he controls the flow of the game, like a young Jason Kidd of years gone by. Doesn't look shot first like many so-called point guards. He's good enough to play point at the next level, and there will be teams that want him.GannonFan wrote:Jones looked great too. I just don't think he's a one and done kid. Teen Wolves defeat Portland. First legit win in the Wiggins era. Wiggy finishes with a double-double, 23 pts, 10 boards.

Kobe Bryant passes Jordan to move into 3rd place in the all-time points scored list last night vs the Timberwolves.

So who wins the Okafor contest (or at least who has the most ping pong balls)?
We have the Knicks leading with a stellar 5-34 record followed by the Sixers and Timberwolves with their 5-29 records. Everyone else is essentially eliminated at this point

But, the ping pong balls never bounce the T-Wolves way.tribe_pride wrote:So who wins the Okafor contest (or at least who has the most ping pong balls)?

Sixers notched that big 10th win! The Leroy Ellis/Fred Carter record is safe for another year.

Not so fast. Minnesota has only 8 wins right now. They will likely make the 10 win mark but it hasn't happened yet.Ivytalk wrote:Sixers notched that big 10th win! The Leroy Ellis/Fred Carter record is safe for another year.

They added 2 starters back this week with Rubio expected back tonight. There goes the draft again.tribe_pride wrote:Not so fast. Minnesota has only 8 wins right now. T-Wolves get Rubio, Martin and Pek back. Defeat Miami at home for the first time since 2008.
