What, you think whoever comes out of the NFC South at 6-10 is going to make a run?Pwns wrote:The Juggernaut Seattle that didn't win their division and the cheese heads who are neck and neck with Detroit are foregone conclusions for the NFC championship? Ok.

Oops….didn't notice the Cards had clinched a playoff spot and not the division.

I dunno, I just don't see that matchup as any more inevitable than a Villanova-NDSU semifinal was.GannonFan wrote: I sense a bet coming on - I get Seattle and Green Bay, who are you taking?

Eh, I actually said that nova wasn't a national title contender this year before the playoffs started, so I didn't see that as inevitable either.Pwns wrote:Oops….didn't notice the Cards had clinched a playoff spot and not the division.

The Cards are the only thing standing between GB and Seattle playing in the NFC title game. That is, unless you think the Lions are going to make a run this year.

There's only one given I see for the NFC playoff…the NFC South won't reach the championship game.GannonFan wrote: Eh, I actually said that nova wasn't a national title contender this year before the playoffs started, so I didn't see that as inevitable either.

I think Detroit's defense and the Cowboy's DeMarco Murray can keep them in the game against Seattle and Green Bay. And like you say, the Cards are also good enough to stop either of those teams.

Kind of like that 7-9 Seattle team?Grizalltheway wrote:What, you think whoever comes out of the NFC South at 6-10 is going to make a run?Pwns wrote:The Juggernaut Seattle that didn't win their division and the cheese heads who are neck and neck with Detroit are foregone conclusions for the NFC championship? I wouldn't call winning one playoff game "making a run", but...okay.clenz wrote:Kind of like that 7-9 Seattle team?Grizalltheway wrote:

The calls they made in Seattle's favor made up for the non-calls that should've gone against SF. Quit your crying, and get ready to watch Seattle's tune-up game in the same stadium they'll be playing at in February (kind of like last year @NYG).
Non calls. Lol
Our house. You lose. The real 12th Man will be there
Just like last year @NYG, this will be Seattle's tune-up game to get acquainted with the stadium for SB week. I bet the team is already there.

No they didn't. They admitted to getting the late hit wrong. It's not as if San Fran had an Arizona QB to lead them in a giving winning drive or something.dbackjon wrote:NFL admitted today the refs gave the game to the Hags

It's tough to say, because a field goal could have changed the dynamic of the final SF drive that got into Hawks' territory. Not saying we would have scored, because lolwesuck, but I think it definitely made a difference.kalm wrote:No they didn't. They admitted to getting the late hit wrong. San Diego competing with Philadelphia for the "Most Pathetic Playoff Hopeful" award.

Eagles no longer a legit hopeful. Only chance is two Cowboys losses and a win over NYG.Mvemjsunpx wrote:San Diego competing with Philadelphia for the "Most Pathetic Playoff Hopeful" award.

But they've faced Seattle, Dallas, and NE, Denver the previous two weeks.Mvemjsunpx wrote:San Diego competing with Philadelphia for the "Most Pathetic Playoff Hopeful" award.
At least SD is losing to a decent team though.

Yup, brutal stretch. Chargers are still probably on the outside looking in when it's all said and done. Going into KC and winning in December is another brutal game.kalm wrote:But they've faced Seattle, Dallas, and NE, Denver the previous two weeks.Mvemjsunpx wrote:San Diego competing with Philadelphia for the "Most Pathetic Playoff Hopeful" award.

Yes, the NFL plays Saturday games during the final two weeks of the regular season. This has been happening for at least a few decades, as far back as I remember.clenz wrote:Wait...there was 2 games today?

If they can beat KC next week, I think they get in. I think Cinci loses to Den tomorrow and @Pitt next week to drop to 9-6-1 so SD can take that 6th spot with Pitt winning the division (beating KC and Cinci at home) and Baltimore winning out against Cleveland and @Houston also to take the other WC spot.SDHornet wrote:Yup, brutal stretch. I never pay much attention to the schedule other than the Vikings and they play 99% of their games at noon on Sundays.

How bad is Tampa Bay?
The Packers not known for their defense held them to 3 points and 109 YARD TOTAL OFFENSE!
