Just be glad Danny White wasn't playing. It would've been 84-7.Grizalltheway wrote:JFC Colts, way to build some momentum going into the playoffs.

OK, so why are all the TV analysts saying the Seahawks have the inside track for home-field advantage? Seattle & Dallas have the same record and Dallas beat Seattle. Am I missing something here?

GB/DET are both 11-4 and play next week. So if SEA/DAL/GB or DET finish 12-4, the tiebreaker is conference record and SEA wins it.Mvemjsunpx wrote:OK, so why are all the TV analysts saying the Seahawks have the inside track for home-field advantage? The calls they made in Seattle's favor made up for the non-calls that should've gone against SF. Quit your crying, and get ready to watch Seattle's tune-up game in the same stadium they'll be playing at in February (kind of like last year @NYG).
Non calls. Lol

Re: **Official 2014 NFL Season Thread**
OK, I figured it out. Three-way ties require someone to be 2-0 or 0-2 to do the head-to-head tiebreaker. Dallas would be 1-0, Seattle 1-1, and Green Bay 0-1, so that would be skipped (Detroit didn't play either Seattle or Dallas).Seahawks08 wrote:GB/DET are both 11-4 and play next week. Dallas is playing better on the road anyway. Perhaps not getting one of the top two seeds is best for them.

No need to watch, I'll take Seattle (+7) in any game they play in the playoffs.

Think you mean (-7). They'll be favored in any home game they play so they'll have to give 7 points to the other team for betting purposes.bluehenbillk wrote:No need to watch, I'll take Seattle (+7) in any game they play in the playoffs.

I'd take Green Bay over Seattle anywhere, except Buffalo.

GB can't handle physical, blanket coverage defenses, as Buffalo, Detroit and Seattle have shown this year, and SF the last couple years in the playoffs.93henfan wrote:I'd take Green Bay over Seattle anywhere, except Buffalo.

It's Seattle's to lose. I don't see Green Bay winning in Seattle either. Maybe it's Tom Brady's turn to turn to jelly in the Super Bowl like Manning did last year when playing the Seahawks.

Um… no. The Packers still can't stop the run. The only reason they have the record they do is because they haven't played very many good running teams.93henfan wrote:I'd take Green Bay over Seattle anywhere, except Buffalo.

Unfortunately I have to agree. I do not see GB beating Seattle IN Seattle....If they get close I'm sure the refs will having something they can pull...AGAIN!!!Grizalltheway wrote:At Lambau-sure. In Seattle-nope.Vidav wrote:

Considering the Hawks have the most penalties again, you're right, the refs may pull something in favor of GB.VictorG wrote:Unfortunately I have to agree. Well, congrats to Wilson, though comparing his early career to Manning's is rather dumb considering that Wilson inherited a mmuuucchhh better situation than Manning did.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Well since Jon isn't going to revisit this thread to eat his crow, I think I'll leave this here for gatw.
Hopefully the Rams won't break his legs like they try to do to everyone else.

Amazing what having Marshawn Lynch and the league's best defense will do for ya, huh?Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Well since Jon isn't going to revisit this thread to eat his crow, I think I'll leave this here for gatw.

OK, I can accept Wilson being better than Luck. That's not even a profound statement, really—it's kinda like saying that Doug Flutie is better than Ken O'Brien. I wouldn't put it past Seattle fans to claim he's better than Peyton, though.

Actually it's more like saying Eli is better than Peyton because he has more rings.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Huh, really? I guess I should've looked at the number.Vidav wrote:

Except Luck isn't Peyton, not even close. I used the O'Brien example because, like Luck, he was solid but nowhere near great.Grizalltheway wrote:Actually it's more like saying Eli is better than Peyton because he has more rings.Mvemjsunpx wrote:
