So are Tribe fans never allowed to comment on basketball then?

Anyway, I was a Big 5 fan long before I went to college, I can comment where I please. :thumb:

Just messing with you after the pain of last year's finals. The Tribe had that game with a minute to go. I did compliment you guys on last year's conference finals and striking while the iron is hot. Tough when you graduate and lose all starters from a team (if your name is not Kentucky)

I was going to say at least we've never gone 0 for a season but apparently in 1936-37 we did go 0-18 with a close 3 point loss to VMI that year. Hope you guys get some wins this year as long as they are not against the Tribe and hope we can get over that hump.

Eh, this year is a waste. Threatt not coming back was what did them in, along with Anderson not playing yet due to injury. That's two starters we should've had. This does make it easier to let Ross walk at the end of the year as his contract is up and they aren't keeping him. New coach for the Hens next year and hopefully a bump to steady winning seasons - no reason why UD shouldn't be in the top 4 of the CAA every year, especially after spending what they did on the facilities and with the big 3 in the CAA leaving as they did a couple of years ago.

That's one of the reasons why last year's final hurt so much. Hopefully this year is the year. No real top team and 3 or 4 teams hanging around waiting to rip our hearts out again in the finals. Have lost in the finals 3 times in the last 7 years - all 3 losses by single digits with last years by 1. :wall:

Tribe I'am predicting a few upsets.I feel that Kentucky is ripe for a big one Columbia showed everyone else the way using a held ball strategy. They used it and it was very effective.

That cheap ass team called Kentucky won again and there are only a few obstacles left for them to run the table in the regular season. And honestly, I think their only slip may come @LSU on February 10th.

Calpari and company won another nailbiter sneaking past Louisville 58-50.They probably used a held ball strategy.I still say that they are bound for a first round upset.Who will be this year's Robert Morris!!!!!

Selection committee. ..for who and what?
The NCAA Selection committee recognize what Texas Southern has done.SWAC Based schools usually get a 15 or 16 seed as tournament time rolls around. The last time the SWAC had a high seating was '93 when the Lady Tigers of Grambling got a unprecented 12th seed in the women's tournament to play vs Texas Tech.

I'm sure they also recognize that Texas Southern lost to Eastern Washington and Norfolk St and lost by 40 to Gonzaga. They are still 3-9, and they sit at #178 in the kenpom rankings. Your 12 seeds are normally in the #50 to #70 range, so with just the SWAC regular season schedule ahead, there's no way they move that far. But hey, maybe they don't play in the play-in game this year.

Selection committee won't give a damn.

The committee will place them against whatever 1 or 2 seed game they feel like. They don't actually look at resume's at that point.

Resume's stop mattering after about the 12 seeds.

At that point it becomes comparing resume's against 13 and 14 seed teams to see what they want to do.

TSU's resume..should they win their conference tournament...wont' matter

Yes I'm quite sure the, selection committee knows about those losses.A lack of size will hurt them in the postseason. They also got smoked by Florida 75-50.Lost by one to Auburn.

Harvard has had its ups and downs, getting thrashed by Virginia and the Sun Devils, but we return home with at least a W over GCU.
All the Ivy League needs to become relevant again is to diversify its OOC schedule.
