Quality win for Sac State. NAU was getting every call in that game as they had a massive FT disparity that was only narrowed due to the fouling late in the game. Hornets had a big lead with 8 minutes to go and NAU scrapped back and almost pulled off a rally. Very entertaining game, great team effort by the Hornets.

Meh, they have one of the weakest schedules in D1 and were even afraid to schedule us this year for our annual rivalry matchup. Word is their coach is in a contract year and padded the schedule to gets wins (and an extension).

Hornets beat SUU and the refs 90-75 to start BSC play 2-0. The Hornets shot lights out in the first half and then over came a calamitous hatchet job by the refs in the 2nd half.

Still early of course, but a banner year for EWU athletics with how good Football was, and both Men's and Women's basketball so far.

EWU's men need to play better than they have been lately: 3-3 with a bad road loss & two questionable home wins (barely beating Lewis-Clark St. and Idaho St.).

EWU's women need to show some semblance of consistency. It's been a pattern the last few years that they'll look unbeatable for a few games & then look lousy for a couple—they're always good, but not good enough to win the league. That's been the case this season, too: after blowing out MVC favorite Wichita St., they failed to win a DI game for a month and struggled to beat CWU in-between.

Hornets get a 63-61 road win at UND and take sole possession atop the BSC (wow, never thought I would type those words   ) with a 3-0 record. Solid defense by both teams, but the Hornet bench came through huge in the game and was the difference. McKinney makes a game winning circus shot in the closing seconds to give the Hornets the win.
