Now, if anyone wants to tell me that the oil supply suddenly went so ballistic and that we have gobs and gobs of this stuff suddenly overflowing to the point that gas prices had to drop by $2/gallon, then I'll simply have to laugh.

This has never been simply about actual supply and demand of oil. It is about speculators, giant ones (as in those folks controlling $$$$with a lot of zeroes) making and taking their profits.

Argue about the oil company executives all you want...that is not the real issue. When the price goes back up, it will not be because the entire fleet of supertankers was suddenly sunk...nor will it be about a few places decreasing production.
