*Speechless*
To the numbskulls who signed off on this "diversity" exercise...
...you have chosen to display abominably poor judgement.

Sounds like this decision emanated from the campus clergy, spokesperson was Christy Lohr Sapp. The more I read, the more apparent it became the clergy live in an academic bubble...not cognizant of the absurd inappropriateness of this action.BDKJMU wrote:In f'ing real..I hope a lot of their alums are pissed enough to pull donations over this.Only thing that would stop it would be the threatened loss of lots of $$.

We are a "Christian nation" remember. Only Christians are being persecuted. The destiny of this country is to obviously become a theocracy where anyone who dares believes other religions can be executed in the streets!Ibanez wrote:So you are against religious freedom...good to know.

There is no problem, at least if you're a rational person.GannonFan wrote:What would be the problem with doing this? I assume the bells ring at a church or chapel on site just before a church service or a Mass, correct? Again, what's the problem with doing this?
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
That's right. We're a Christian nation because we were founded by Christians. Straw man argument with no basis in fact.DSUrocks07 wrote:We are a "Christian nation" remember. I don't have a problem with it. But if I were a student, I might object to the crack of dawn hollering going on.GannonFan wrote:What would be the problem with doing this? Actually that I can agree with - as long as it doesn't single out a specific religion, banning bell sounding before a certain hour (and after a certain hour) is perfectly permissible and fine. Besides, I'm sure there's an app people can get for those early or late hours when bell ringing is stopped.andy7171 wrote:I don't have a problem with it. Just a temporary distraction from the butt-whupping that Miami administered to Coach K's boys last night.andy7171 wrote:The basketball team is riding a 2 game losing streak with the 41 game home streak ending last night. Seems a bit extreme, but it can't hurt, I reckon.
