Add to that that the Colts have beaten exactly ONE team this season with a winning record (ONE)
And it is very likely they will finish the 2014 season having beaten only ONE winning team
I think you are wrong about this.

During the regular season, they beat Baltimore and Cincinnati both who had 10 wins and Houston with 9 wins (twice)

In the playoffs, they beat Cincinnati and Denver.

That is a total of 6 wins over 4 different teams with a winning record. I agree with you that NE should win easily but your facts were wrong if I read what you wrote correctly.
Actually the records of the teams you mention:
I stand corrected Baltimore had a winning record and so did Cincinnatti
But Houston was .500 both times they beat them

So I stand corrected they had 2 wins against teams with winning records

It doesn't matter the record when you beat them. The end of the season record is what matters.

The Jets beat Oakland in week 1. At the end of the year, you should not give GB credit for beating a team with a winning record because they happened to play the Jets in week 2 when they were 1-0 as opposed to Detroit who would not get similar credit since the Jets were 1-2 going into that game.

I don't remember the entire situation, but was there a safety blitz on that play? If so, and Romo knew he had Dez 1on1 with Shields then I guess that's who he trusted the most to make a play instead of waiting for things to unfold underneath.
Romo had #11 streaking across the middle of the field on the other side of the first down marker 10 yards from him, pretty much wide open as the nearest defender was 2 yards behind him. Go back and watch the replay, should have been a really simple 4th down conversion
I looked at the replay and I can see why Romo went to Dez instead of #11 Beasley. While Beasley was open as you said, the presnap had a safety over the top of him with a CB man coverage. What happened was the CB blitzed which allowed Beasley room to run underneath. There was no safety over the top of Dez so throwing it up to him in that situation was the optimal play presnap. Also, there were 6 rushers coming for Romo, so it's not like he had any time to look elsewhere. Quite frankly I think most Qbs would have thrown to Dez on that play.

He and George Blanda are the only QBs to throw 4 ints and win a conference championship.

The game may have been exciting at the end but it was not well played at all and really can't be considered classic. Last few minutes might be classic but the game as a whole sucked. Can't remember all of the turnovers but the majority were unforced and just bad playing by the one who turned over the ball.

Good thing I'm not a Packers fan, because there would've been some definite Griz/EWU 2012 flashbacks in that game. :coffee: :?

Joe Flacco had his way with the Patriots' D for pretty much that entire game-their D-line got absolutely no pressure on him.

I'm not saying the Colts are (or should) be favored, but I'm pretty confident it won't be a walkover for NE. Carry on. :coffee:
