In the last 2 games Wilson is 26-50 with 3 TDs and 5 Ints
He has been sacked 8 times (holds the ball too long)

Not "elite" QB numbers and he should be 0-2 this post season.

He is an average QB who doesnt make players around him better, sure his receivers are horrible but Brady doesnt use that as an excuse. Nobody has done more with less talent than Brady

I'd take Brady, Rogers, and Brees over him. Maybe Luck.

Out of curiosity, is it Bevell or Carroll who calls the offensive plays for Seattle? I really don't know.

Why does it matter?


It is easy to call a play, but it is hard to EXECUTE the play call.


I always laugh when people blame play calling, they should be blaming players like Wilson for that perfect pass, low and in front of the WR just like he is coached to throw it and the WR who was in position to make that catch if not for a brilliant play from a young Pats DB.

That play was 100% perfectly played on both sides of the ball..................but sometimes players just make a play. Like that BS catch by Kearse a couple plays earlier.

Why does it matter? Because I am curious who called the play and no other reason.

I see people here and other places blaming Bevell for the call but Carroll took responsibility for the pass. I just wanted to know who called the play for no other reason than I am curious. Do you know?

What do you not get that I could care less about that part of the play. I disagree with the play call but I really could care less about the specific call or the result for my question. I have heard different answers and was trying to clarify something. Everything after "Nope" was completely irrelevant for me.

Darrell Bevell (seahawks OC) should be left in Arizona to become the newest person to apply for unemployment benefits. I can't believe that douche actually called that **** play. The 5th best rushing offense of all time and you don't run the ball in from the 1 on second down? GTFO now!

And this is where proximity of fanbases comes into play. I am in giants/jets territory and there are a lot of Pat/Cowboy bandwagoners here. But I've also lived in PA, so I know how steelers fans can be (which are the worst imo). Yeah, I'd place steelers fans as the worst fanbase in the NFL and it's not close.

Bevell calls the plays and Pete sometimes confirms them (pass/run only, not specific plays). From what I've read and heard, it seems like that was the case with this one. So while Pete gets some of the blame, I still mostly blame Bevell for that stupid call.

Are we talking about a decent pass pro oline? Because if so, then you can make a case for each of them. If not, then I'd only take Rodgers and Luck as the others would be on IR by week 4.

Alas, let's come to the dumbest thing you posted...Wilson doesn't make others around him better. You ever hear of Chris Matthews before Sunday? Wilson has won with no true #1 WR in all 3 years he's been in the NFL. Sidney Rice and Tate were solid #2s and this year he didn't even have that. Wilson is an above average QB with the potential to become elite and he's well on his way there.

Not sure if this has been stated yet:
The Seahawks had one timeout and didn't want to use it - as they wanted to be able to use their entire alotment of downs in case they needed them...

The Seahawks were waiting for the Patriots to call a timeout - literally the coaching staff of the seahawks was anticipating the time out by New England

When it didn't come they knew they needed to run a pass play to stop the clock

The End:
"Never interrupt your enemy when he's preparing to make a tactical mistake"

The Patriots in so doing - by not calling a timeout - forced the Seahwaks who were mostly standing around waiting for the Time out call by New England to then hurry in a pass play call


I have NFL Rewind and watched it a few times... I stand by my assessment

I never have understood the thing where people rate quarterbacks on the basis of how well their TEAM did. It's a team game.

For extreme example: Trent Dilfer's Baltimore Ravens team won a Super Bowl in 2000. Dan Marino never quarterbacked a Super Bowl champ. Is ANYBODY going to say Trent Dilfer was a better quarterback than Dan Marino?

Or even somebody like Terry Bradshaw on those great Steelers teams. Does ANYBODY here think, for example, that Dan Marino wouldn't have done at LEAST as well playing on teams like that? Or how about Dan Fouts? I mean come on.

This thing of "how many championships did 'they' win" is way overrated when it comes to ranking quarterbacks.

I think part of what keeps the chatter along these lines going is Peyton Manning
He's a very good (maybe even the best ever) regular season QB
But he is absolutely below average in the playoffs

This is the thing that either builds or dismantles the QB all time rating thing

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa????

Why would they hurry in a pass play that would stop the clock when they wanted to run the clock down so that the Pats would have less time left? They could have just as easily hurried in a QB sneak.
