UNI wins at Missouri State by 11. Was a 20 point game the entire game but a little let up late and late 3s by MSU took it to 11

UNI suffocates poor Loyola of IL, 58-39.

Re: Games Thread (Men) 2014-2015
That was a boring game to watch.Cap'n Cat wrote:UNI suffocates poor Loyola of IL, 58-39.
UNI played in Springfield on Sunday. Got stuck there due to an ice storm and didn't land in CF until about 4PM Monday. They took off, by bus, to Chicago (5 hours) Tuesday morning. The team looked "tired" and still made easy work of Loyola...in front of 13 people.
Loyola's arena only holds 4400 people. They announced 1700 last night but that is at least double what it was. Between UNI fans and a high school team with coaches/staff that one of UNI's players played on there was probably 500. I would bet there wasn't 500 Loyola fans in the rest of the areana
I was on the positive side of adding Loyola. Massive market, massive endowment...giggity...a lot of potential, etc...
They have a potentially bright future, so I don't want to write them off, but they are delivering zero market share. 10 million people in the Chicago MSA and they couldn't get 500 fans in their arena.

Harvard is alone at first in the Ivy after Yale lost to Columbia at home. The Crimson, obviously, won against Princeton at home.
All the Ivy League needs to become relevant again is to diversify its OOC schedule.

Bison win their 20th game and remain tied for first in the Summit with SDSU, stopping IPFW's 7 game win streak. Bison were predicted to finish 5th in the Summit under a first year coach. One game remaining this week for both, NDSU @ Oral Roberts and SDSU @ USD.

I saw your game against VCU and was not impressed. It was a sloppy game. Clearly that one game was not indicative of your team's level of talent. Good Luck the rest of the way.

Big win for the Twerps last night. Students had some fun things going on again during time outs.

Tribe and UNCW tied atop the CAA with Northeastern having a chance tomorrow to tie them and JMU a game back with 1 game to go and 2 for Northeastern.
W&M wins all tiebreakers, UNCW is 2nd in tiebreakers and then Northeastern, then JMU (who could slip to the 5 seed if they lose to the current 5 seed Hofstra on Saturday). That is the likely order of the top 5 seeds in the CAA tournament in a week unless there is an upset tomorrow or Saturday.
Drexel's Lee is out for the season with a hand injury. They could now drop to the 7 seed and have to drop to the pillow fight Friday 7/10, 8/9 games.

Cornell led Harvard at halftime and never looked back. Another bad loss for the Crimson, 57-49.
If Yale wins against Princeton, we are back to a tie for first in the Ivies.

Just tuned in, UNI down big against da Shockers. What's the story here?
Re: Games Thread (Men) 2014-2015
No one was beating WSU at CKA on SR day in that environment, especially after UNI beat WSU down by 16 less than a month ago.Grizalltheway wrote:Just tuned in, UNI down big against da Shockers. What's the story here?
UNI got it back down to 3 late but WSU just kept hitting 3s.
It's a shame UNI will drop to 16 or lower because of one loss. Flipping WSU and UNI from 11 and 10 I'd the correct move

Re: Games Thread (Men) 2014-2015
Nobody wanted to win the CAA today. W&M and UNCW as the leaders both lost to low ranked teams and Northeastern and JMU who were both a game back won so there is a 4 way co-champ with tiebreakers going #1 to the Tribe, #2 to UNCW, #3 to Northeastern and #4 to JMU. Hope they don't need it but Tribe gets the auto-NIT bid if they don't win the CAA tournament.
The CAA tournament will be crazy starting next Friday.

Harvard tops Columbia by 10, while Yale guts one out at home against Penn. Tied for the lead, and Yale visits Harvard next Friday in the final weekend of the season.

Yes. I said earlier in the year I thought LSU would beat them, but they survived that test. So I think they will make it to the tournament undefeated and it will depend on the bracket to see how much they will be tested. I really want Arizona as the #2 as I see them being an excellent threat to beat UK. Other than that, maybe Duke or Wisconsin? UK is one scary ass team.dal4018 wrote:Anyone thinks Kenucky can run the table and go 40-0 if so they will join the women of Baylor,UCONN!!!!!

UD is a legit darkhorse that could win the CAA this weekend. Sucked early, got better as the season came on, and with no real dominant team in the conference, it's a bit wide open.tribe_pride wrote:Nobody wanted to win the CAA today.
