I won. Yale lost to Dartmouth on a layup in the closing seconds. Playoff is on March 11.
Meanwhile, Belmont is locked for the Dance. Murray State is on to the NIT.

I still like Yale's karma this year. Harvard lost its last neutral court playoff to Princeton in 2011. At Yale, IIRC. This time, it's at Penn. Eli by 5.bonarae wrote:I won. Yale lost to Dartmouth on a layup in the closing seconds. Playoff is on March 11.

Re: Games Thread (Men) 2014-2015
One of the most exciting games of any conference tourney just happened. W&M beats out Hofstra 92-91 in 2OT to move to the conference championship game and another chance to get out of the never been there before.
In regulation, Tribe tied it with :23 to go and good defense stopped Hofstra after being down by 9 with 5:00 to go
In OT, Tribe tied it on a 3 with 42 seconds to go, then Hofstra missed 2 FTs with 10 seconds to go and Tribe could not get the shot to go in
In 2OT, Hofstra hit 1 of 2 to go up by 2 with 8 seconds to go. Thornton dribbled it up drawing the defenders to him and dished it to Dixon who sunk it with under :01 to go for the win.

UNI was down 18 with 2 minutes left in the first half, 14 at half, to Illinois state in the MVC title game.
UNI erased the deficit and took the lead 5 min into the second half.
Up by 11 with 20 seconds left but ISU hit an uncontested lay up with 17 seconds left to take it back to a single digit game.
Pretty nuts to watch

Watched UNI for the first time today. ISU was lucky to be ahead that much in the first half as their shooting was unsustainable. Once ISU came back to earth, the game was over. Also doesn't help that UNI's main player couldn't buy a bucket in the first half. UNI looks like a solid 3 seed at this point and if I were them, I would hope to draw either Gonzaga or Kansas as the 2 seed.clenz wrote:UNI was down 18 with 2 minutes left in the first half, 14 at half, to Illinois state in the MVC title game.

By far the worst 20 min of UNI basketball in years.Seahawks08 wrote:Watched UNI for the first time today. ISU was lucky to be ahead that much in the first half as their shooting was unsustainable. As soon I heard coach Jake's interview going into half I knew UNI would win.
If you don't watch UNI, or follow the program, that makes no sense but tobua it does. He is, by far, the calmest coach in the nation.
As soon as I saw this smirk

I knew UNI would win by 8 plus.
My wife always says he looks like a evil genius when his game plan is working.
The UNI you saw in the second half is the UNI team I've seen all season.
The scary part is Deon and Paul Jesperson played relatively poorly this weekend. Both have been shooting aout 60% from 3 since the first of the year.
ISU employed a strategy Tuttle sees a lot...rape. It might keep him from buckets but it does exactly what happened today... Mounts 2 or 3 first half could on 3 or 4 guys meaning UNI gets 30 ft...and as a team they shoot between 75 and 80%
UNI was 22 of 26...or something like that
ISU was 4 of 9
Lots of crying of bad referring, but the calls were pretty much spot on all day.

8-10 American vs 9-9 Lafayette for the Patriot championship, a 5 v 6 match-up.

Any word yet on when the Ivy League title game will be on Saturday? I was thinking about taking the kids - I haven't taken them to the Palestra yet and my middle one was all caught up watching Yale beat Harvard the other night, and even more interested after Yale blew it at Dartmouth.
