I assume that you posted this graph because you understandably misinterpreted what I was saying. This is one of your fundamental cognitive flaws.

I never once said that the epidemic in Sierra Leone wasn't ending (which has to be what you were trying to refute).

I said that they had discovered asymptomatic human carriers in SL, implying that the virus, given a long run in a human population,appears to be adapting in such a way that would make it more contagious over time.

You may jack off, but virologists actually find it pretty scary. As I said before, when Eola rears it's head again it will be worse. Hopefully the CDC and policy makers will take it more seriously than you.

we had hints about this from CDC back in december when I was on the working group for Nigeria - and it is VERY good news if it is as effective as they are claiming

but this is still a dangerous virus - in west Africa it is still very real, and none of us have been offered this vaccine

not sure why you bumped this for me, though - I have said this is a very scary disease and it remains so (see some of the chronic health problems some of our American ebola survivors have been experiencing) and given the frantic pace at which they ramrodded this vaccine it appears that the scientific world agrees

So Obama gave his reason for not instituting a flight ban. I'm not for or against one at this time but the excuse made no sense. He said people could break up their trip and arrive from somewhere other than Africa. I don't travel overseas, but wouldn't you need a passport and wouldn't the passport say where you were? He also said that it is best to tackle this disease in Africa. Why the fuck would a ban change that?

Wow. I wasn’t too worried about Ebola but that infection rate is pretty eye opening. Thank goodness we have Dumb and dumber serving as the point men to prevent this from spreading within the US.

I guess at this point the biggest concerns are that an infected person flew on a plane from Cleveland to Dallas (a major airport hub). Time will tell if others contracted it on that flight. And the travel ban which seems like a no brainer at this point. Not sure how anyone expects Ebola to be contained within the US without a travel ban instituted on West African passports.

This whole issue shouldn’t even be a political talking point, but incompetence by the powers that be made this a political talking point. WAFJ.
